Theater Resources Unlimited has announced a second term of the Producer Development & Mentorship Program. Previously a once-a-year opportunity for aspiring producers to hone their skills, TRU has compressed the 9-10 class course, reformatted it to be virtual during COVD, as is now open for submissions for a Spring session due to popular demand.

Today, a partnership has been announced between Black Theatre Coalition and Professors Steven Chaikelson (Head of Theatre Management & Producing) and Michael J. Passaro (Head of Stage Management) at Columbia University's School of the Arts to provide a weekly webinar series exclusively for potential BTC fellows.

Today we flashback to 2013, when Motown first performed on the Bryant Park stage. Motown opened on April 14, 2013 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, where it played for 738 performances, and returned to Broadway in 2016. Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright and choreographed by Patricia Wilcox and Warren Adams, it starred Brandon Victor Dixon, Valisia Lekae, Bryan Terrell Clark, Charl Brown, and more.

Company on Broadway has shared that they will be hiring 10 young black men and women for paid internships in every department of the production when Broadway resumes.

MCC Theater (Bob LuPone, Bernie Telsey, Will Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) has announced the extension of the New York premiere of All the Natalie Portmans by C.A Johnson (MCC Theater's 2019/20 Tow Playwright in Residence) with direction by Kate Whoriskey. Previously scheduled for a limited run through March 15, All the Natalie Portmans will now play through Sunday, March 29 at the Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater at The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space (511 West 52nd Street).

Tony nominee, Kate Baldwin, joined composer Georgia Stitt onstage at Birdland in New York City to perform Stitt's song, 'Something That You Do' as part of  the The Broadway at Birdland concert series.
