After an acclaimed 80th theater season, Beck Center for the Arts is proud to announce its 2014-2015 professional theater season, seemingly the most eclectic yet. Known for its uniquely diverse theatrical productions, Beck Center's new season includes five musicals, the fourth Baldwin Wallace Musical Theatre collaboration, two locally-produced premieres, one regional premiere, and a Pulitzer Prize-winning drama.

We've been reporting on the buzz since January, but now Hugh Jackman is making Broadway fan's May dreams come true! It's just been officially announced that Sonia Friedman Productions will present the Royal Court Theatre production of THE RIVER, a new play by Jez Butterworth, starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Donnelly and Cush Jumbo, and directed by Ian Rickson.

Court Theatre closes its 2013-2014 season with the Chicago premiere of M. Butterfly written by David Henry Hwang and directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell, with choreography by Jamie Guan. M. Hotel Nikko San Francisco and Michael Feinstein will welcome singer-songwriter-pianist, Peter Cincotti, to Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performances only - tonight, April 24 (8 p.m.) and Friday, April 25 (8 p.m.). The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, celebrates its 44th anniversary in 2014 with an impressive assembly of classics, cult favorites, and beloved films. Fans of Prince will love his new licensing deal with Warner Brothers Records. Not only will they get a delux reissue of his iconic PURPLE RAIN, but a new album is in the works as well. 'A brand-new studio album is on the way and both Warner Bros. Records and Eye are quite pleased with the results of the negotiations and look forward to a fruitful working relationship,' Prince said in a news release.
