Tony Yazbeck, Ann Crumb and More Set for Industry Reading of DANGEROUS Today

Today, May 2nd there will be a special industry presentation of the new musical DANGEROUS. Directed by Jeff Whiting, the show is described as "a 1930s swing-time musical reminiscent of Warner Brothers gangster movies, Hitchcock thrillers, and Casablanca style romance.

Heading the cast are Tony nominee Ann Crumb (ASPECTS OF LOVE, ANNA KARENINA), and Broadway's rising star Tony Yazbeck (GYPSY, LITTLE ME, ON THE TOWN). Other cast members are Barbara Jo Bednarczuk, Preston Truman Boyd, Jared Bradshaw, Kevin Cahoon, Lauren Cohn, Henry Gainza, Kinsland Howell, Lauren Kadel, Katy Karr, Anthony Lee Medina, Jeff Pew, Shawn Platzker, Sarah Reardon, Sarah Roussos, Lara Seibert, Tom Souhrada, Jeffrey Scott Stevens, Mariand Torres, and Stuart Zagnit.

Dangerous is a collaboration of John C. Introcaso and Michael Colby. The show was first conceived by Introcaso, its composer, co-writer, and co-lyricist. His other credits include CROSSROADS CAFÉ (off-off-Broadway). Co-writer Michael Colby is the lyricist/librettist of such musicals as TALES OF TINSELTOWN, THEY CHOSE ME!, and CHARLOTTE SWEET (Drama Desk nomination). Jeff Whiting has been the associate/resident director for BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, BIG FISH, and Tony-nominated THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS. The musical director is Jesse Kissel, whose credits include Broadway's LEAP OF FAITH and SPIDERMAN: TURN OFF THE DARK, as well as the national tour of CHICAGO. The production stage manager is Jason Brouillard.

Ray Kennedy of Kennedy Entertainment will present this staged reading; he is the VP and musical director of the USO of Metropolitan New York.
