Brahms Requiem To Close Master Chorale 2017/18 Season

A pillar of the choral repertoire, Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem, Op. 45, is paired with contemporary works by Pulitzer Prize-winning composers David Lang and Caroline Shaw in the Los Angeles Master Chorale's final concerts of its 2017/18 season on Saturday, June 9 at 2 PM and Sunday, June 10 at 7 PM at Walt Disney Concert Hall. The concerts will feature the West Coast premiere of Lang's where you go and open with Shaw's Fly Away I. The performances will be conducted by Grant Gershon, Kiki & David Gindler Artistic Director, and feature the full 100-voice chorus and LA Master Chorale Orchestra.

Los Angeles Philharmonic Association Announces Four Musicians Selected For Resident Fellows Program

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced today the four musicians selected for the LA Phil Resident Fellows program. The program, announced in November 2017, launched this year as a centerpiece initiative of the LA Phil's Centennial with the purpose of creating a pathway towards a more diverse and inclusive orchestra of tomorrow.

Multiple-GRAMMY ® and RDMA-nominated singer Charlie Puth is scheduled to perform at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families, on FRIDAY, JUNE 22, at the Dolby Theatre ® at Hollywood & Highland Center ® in Hollywood, it was announced today on Radio Disney. Puth is also nominated for 'The Buzz - Breakout Artist of the Year'at the 2018 RDMA. Puth, a multi-platinum singer, songwriter and producer, visited the Radio Disney studios and made the announcement on-air.

To celebrate the debut of the Frozen Original Broadway Cast Recording, the show has just released a brand new, behind-the-scenes music video of its best known song and Act I closer, "Let It Go." This is the first time that the Broadway version of the song, and Caissie Levy's (Elsa) thrilling vocal performance, have been heard outside of the St. James Theatre. The video takes the viewer into the recording studio with Levy and into the backstage and onstage worlds of the cast of the Broadway production of Frozen. "Let It Go" won the Academy Award® in 2014 for Best Original Song.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Marvel Studios, Marvel Studios: Hero Acts is donating $1.25 million to provide transformative experiences to strengthen the lives of children impacted by serious illness. The grant will provide $800,000 to Make-A-Wish® to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses around the world, and $450,000 to Starlight Children's Foundation to help bring joy and comfort to children in hospitals.

FX Lands The New York Times Series THE WEEKLY

FX has landed the first-run North American rights to The New York Times's first major foray into TV news, called The Weekly, in partnership with Hulu, which will be the exclusive SVOD streaming home to new episodes of the series the day after air.
