On March 8, 2013, The New York Pops continued its 30th season with an evening of swinging favorites in Luck Be a Lady: Megan Hilty Sings Sinatra and More. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke led the orchestra as it tipped its hat to the Rat Pack, Ella Fitzgerald, Marilyn Monroe, and other stars from the golden age of entertainment. The performance featured Megan Hilty, Broadway singer and star of the television show Smash, and Ryan Silverman, one of Broadway's favorite leading men. Feinstein's at Loews Regency presented the New York debut duet engagement of two-time Emmy and five-time Grammy-nominated entertainer Michael Feinstein, and acclaimed Grammy-nominated vocalist Marilyn Maye, through last night, September 22. The two powerhouse entertainers shared the nightclub stage for the first time in an evening of dynamic entertainment including pop standards, boogie woogie classics and audience favorites. Feinstein's at Loews Regency continues its Spring 2012 season with the debut of multi-award winning singer Jennifer Sheehan in her new show "I Know A Place." Sheehan and her trio traverse the vast spectrum of music that was the sensational soundtrack of the '60s. Plus, she shares how younger generations are falling in love with these classic songs just as their parents did. Brimming with songs and stories, "I Know A Place" features music by songwriters such as Burt Bacharach, The Beatles and Antonio Carlos Jobim and songs made famous by Barbra Streisand, Petula Clark, Carole King and more. Their new show, 'From Pelham to Park Avenue,' features songs from Broadway by Stephen Sondheim ('Pretty Women'), Jule Styne ('Make Someone Happy') and Frank Loesser ('I Believe In You'), Italian classics ('Funniculi, Funnicula') and numbers from newer songwriters like Michael Feinstein ('Swing Is Back In Style'). The engagement - which is directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and features Music Director Ben Toth on piano and Jered Egan on bass - opened at Feinstein's last night, April 20.
