American Dance Spectacular' will be performed at The Ridgefield Playhouse (Oct 22, CT), Schimmel Center (Oct 21, NYC), and OnStage at Kingsborough (Oct 28, Brooklyn) this month.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is thrilled to announce this year's line-up for the MIDDAY CABARETS and SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE hosted byCome From Away's Caesar Samayoa, which are part of the 29th annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS. The Festival will take place on Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20, 2017 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

Broadway stars from Wicked, Mamma Mia, Groundhog Day, and Cats along with choreography by Al Blackstone of TV's So You Think You Can Dance will bring the most iconic dances of the 20th Century to The Ridgefield Playhouse stage for one night only. From The Charleston and Jitterbug to Disco, and Hip Hop Broadway's hottest dancers and singers backed by a live band will take you to America's flashiest dance floors all choreographed by Al Blackstone of TV's So You Think You Can Dance ! The cast includes Jennifer DiNoia (Broadway's WICKED (Elphaba), MAMMA MIA!), Vishal Vaidya (Broadway's GROUNDHOG DAY), Daniel Gaymon (Broadway's CATS), Alexa Green (Broadway's WICKED) with music direction by Bryan Perri (Broadway's Wicked ), book by Susan Batten (Lifetime TV's Showing Roots ), and created and directed by Daniel C. Levine ( Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables ). American Dance Spectacular is a show that dance fans will not want to miss! Today, Tuesday, August 15 at 6:15pm, the producers of the Olivier Award-winning Best New MusicalGroundhog Day, which opened on Broadway to critical acclaim this spring, announced that the show will end its run at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street) on Sunday, September 17, following 176 performances and 32 previews.
