KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY Special Pricing Extended Thru 3/22

Originally planned for only March 19, the KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY special pricing offer is now extended to the Sunday, March 22 performance at 6:30P. The special pre-show event will now be before the Sunday evening performance of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG; there will be no pre-show event on Thursday, but the special pricing offer still applies. With the purchase of a regularly-priced ticket, children aged 18 and under can receive a FREE ticket of equal value for the Thursday performance or the Sunday evening performance of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG.

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG Auditions Call For 6 Local Children

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, a production coming to PPAC March 19 - 22, held auditions on October 25, 2008 to find six local children to appear in the chorus of the show for its Providence run. The audition included learning a dance from the show - taught on-site - in addition to each child singing a song of their choice; more than 80 talented children turned out for the audition, which took place at PPAC. The show's producers have selected Andrew Purdy, of Franklin, MA; Eric Halvarson, of Cranston; Rebekah Philip, of Rehoboth, MA; Carolina King and Virginia King, of Clayville; and Fifer Horwitz of Tiverton as the regulars, and Daniel Perkins, of Bellingham, MA and Maddie Crump, of Norfolk, MA as the boy and girl alternates.

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG Flies Its Magic Car To Providence

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG comes to the Providence Performing Arts Center beginning March 19 for six performances only! Based on the novel by famed James Bond author and creator Ian Fleming, the production features music and lyrics by the Sherman Brothers, composers of MARY POPPINS. The National Tour also features an original script and a fresh adaptation, directed by Ray Roderick. The Providence engagement of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG also features six local children in the chorus. In October of 2008, over eighty children came to PPAC for the audition, which consisted of them learning choreography from the show, on-site, and singing an up-tempo song of their choice. The show's producers selected Andrew Purdy, of Franklin, MA; Eric Halvarson, of Cranston; Rebekah Philip, of Rehoboth, MA; Carolina King and Virginia King, of Clayville; and Fifer Horwitz of Tiverton as the regulars, and Daniel Perkins, of Bellingham, MA and Maddie Crump, of Norfolk, MA as the boy and girl alternates.
