The cast of Violet is in the recording studio today, recording the cast album of Violet on April 7, 2014. This Original Broadway Cast Recording, a two-disc set, will be released by PS Classics on June 3. The production is currently playing at the American Airlines Theatre through August 10, 2014. Violet will be produced in association with Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, David Mirvish, Barry and Fran Weissler, Elizabeth Armstrong, and Mary Jo and Ted Shen. Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter Productions will present a developmental reading of Madame: The Musical on October 10 at Ripley-Grier Studios. The work was previously developed at the New York Musical Theater Festival's inaugural reading series in 2012.
