My Brightest Diamond is excited to announce a short West Coast headline run at the end of February 2019 that will be rounding out their Noise Pop Festival 2019 performance alongside Beirut, Bob Mould and Teenage Fanclub among others. Deal Casino's new video for their single 'Father's Day,' shot in front of a wall of over 100 television sets with meticulously synchronized VHS images, visualizes an explosive ballad that is the band's most personal composition to date. The television sets, accumulated by the band themselves on a zero dollar budget, coincide with the DIY approach the guys took to their upcoming LP, LLC. The video further illustrates the band's unique approach to the emotional struggle that inspired the songwriting process.
Everyman Theatre's next show in the 2018-2019 season is The Importance of Being Earnest, a light-hearted romantic comedy packed with twists, turns, and witty repartee. Directed by Joseph W. Ritsch Artistic Director of Rep Stage, the tale of worlds turned topsy-turvy with assumed identities lampoons the absurdity of Victorian virtues. The Everyman production showcases a subtext that is as relevant today as it was to its intended 19th-century audience-Wilde's "bachelor" compatriots-inside jokes abound through subtly scripted details. The play runs December 4 - December 30, 2018.

Global announced today that it has commissioned a new Canadian original six-part event series, Departure. Produced by Shaftesbury and Greenpoint Productions Ltd., the thrilling drama is directed by Canadian Screen Award Winner T.J. Scott (Orphan Black, Star Trek: Discovery), with Malcolm MacRury (Saving Hope) joining as showrunner, and created by Vincent Shiao (Ransom, Aftermath). With principal photography now underway in Toronto, the Canada/UK co- production will also shoot in London, England. The project was developed by Shaftesbury in association with Corus Entertainment and Red Arrow Studios International.
