Assembly Hall takes place in, as you might have guessed, an assembly hall, where a group of medieval reenactors are coming together for what may be the final meeting of the General Assembly of the Benevolent and Protective Order. However, everything is not as it seems . . .

Today, Disney+ unveiled the trailer and poster for “The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild,” an all-new animated adventure featuring the return of the beloved characters from the wildly successful global “Ice Age” franchise. The “Ice Age” collection (five films and two television specials) is currently available on Disney+.

UBCP/ACTRA, the autonomous branch of ACTRA in British Columbia, has announced this year's nominees for the 8th Annual UBCP/ACTRA Awards. The awards ceremony honours five of its members for their exceptional contributions to the entertainment industry in the past year. As a peer-adjudicated awards show, the night will not only highlight talent across multiple categories but provides an evening of celebration for nominees, winners and fellow community members.  

To help celebrate BC performers' remarkable achievements, the 7th annual UBCP/ACTRA Awards Gala will honour five of its members on December 8th, 2018 for work done this past year. This peer-adjudicated awards show shines the spotlight on the talented performers in BC, and provides an opportunity for industry professionals to share in the celebration with the nominees, winners and fellow community members.

Jacques Lemay, famous for directing and choreographing the 1988 Olympics Ceremonies, working on the 2010 Olympics and directing shows and major events across the nation, returned to the Canadian College of Performing Arts (CCPA) to celebrate its 20th Anniversary in grand fashion. 'There are dazzling shows, uniquely divine special events and a glittering onstage celebration in April. CCPA is very proud of its extraordinary success and it is great to be a part of launching into the next decade!' says Lemay.

Proudly representing BC's performers, each year the UBCP/ACTRA Awards Gala honours five members for work done in the past year. This peer-adjudicated performer awards show shines the spotlight on the talented performers here in BC, and provides an opportunity for industry professionals to share in the celebration with the nominees and winners. The 6th annual red carpet gala takes place on November 18, 2017 at the Vancouver Playhouse.

Complete casting announced for the show which is to begin performances in February 2006.

While casting has not been confirmed, a number of respected actors (mostly Canadian) have been appointed to play some of the major roles in the upcoming Toronto production of The Lord of the Rings
