The Board of Trustees of Theatre Development Fund (TDF), the country's largest not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts, founded in 1968, has announced the election of Earl D. Weiner to the position of chairman of the Board of Trustees. The announcement was made by TDF's current chairman, David D. Holbrook, who just completed a second tenure as chairman which began in November 2005. Mr. Holbrook's first tenure as chairman was from November 1990 - November 1997.

Theatre Development Fund announces that effective immediately, the TKTS Discount booth in Downtown Brooklyn in 1 MetroTech Center at the corner of Jay Street and Myrtle Avenue will be open from Tuesday - Saturday, 11am to 6pm. The booth has been open from Monday - Fridays. The Saturday hours (effective this Saturday, November 8) replace Monday hours, a day when most shows do not perform.

When TDF's new booth opens 'under the red glass steps' in the newly revitalized Father Duffy Square (Broadway and 47th Street, Manhattan) on Thursday, October 16 at 3pm, ticket buyers will be able to make their purchases using major credit cards, in addition to cash and travelers checks, for same-day tickets to Broadway, Off Broadway, music and dance productions.
