42nd Street Moon to Present 'Girl Crazy' Starting 10/23

42nd Street Moon gears up for its second production of the season: George and Ira Gershwin's great musical romp of 1930, Girl Crazy, the slam-bang hit that boasts one of the greatest Broadway scores including the songs 'I Got Rhythm,' 'Embraceable You,' 'But Not for Me,' and 'Sam and Delilah.' The show previews on October 23 and 24, and opens on Saturday, October 25 and runs through November 16.

Blackhurst and Stritch Release CD 6/17, Release Concert 6/16

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS, a division of Sh-K-Boom Records, is proud to announce the release of the new CD from KLEA BLACKHURST and BILLY STRITCH - Dreaming Of A Song: The Music of Hoagy Carmichael. Blackhurst took New York by storm with her acclaimed tribute to Ethel Merman, Everything the Traffic Will Allow; Stritch is an award-winning composer, arranger, vocalist and jazz pianist. Their first artistic collaboration mines the catalogue of one of America's most treasured songwriters, who wrote such standards as 'Skylark,' 'Georgia On My Mind' and 'Star Dust.' The recording is produced by Grammy Award winner Joel Moss and will be available in stores and online June 17, 2008. 42nd Street Moon Presents Tribute to Harburg

42nd Street Moon offers a glorious musical salute to lyrical whiz, E. Y. Yip Harburg, with the world premiere of Peddling Rainbows, a revue celebrating Harburg's poetry and songs. It previews May 15 and 16, opens May 17 and runs through May 25.
