In 2009/10, 42nd Sreet Moon will begin a special series of ?Salon Evenings? at the Alcazar Theatre, intimate performances where Moon performers and special guest stars will celebrate in story and song the life and works of musical theatre composers and lyricists.

Cheyenne Jackson will reprise his New York City Center Encores! role of Woody in the upcoming Broadway production of Finian's Rainbow.

KLEA BLACKHURST - hailed as 'an improbably terrific young performer' by the New York Times - will return to New York with her critically-acclaimed concert, Everything the Traffic Will Allow: The Songs and Sass of Ethel Merman for seven performances at the Snapple Theater Center (210 West 50th Street).

Producers David Richenthal and Jack Viertel have announced that the critically-acclaimed New York City Center Encores! production of Finian?s Rainbow, will transfer to Broadway's St. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street, beginning Thursday, October 8 at 8pm, with an opening set for Thursday, October 29 at 6:45pm.

Linda Hope joined U.S. Postal Service Governor Katherine C. Tobin today to preview the stamp image depicting Hope's father, iconic entertainer Bob Hope. The ceremony took place during festivities to rename the Ellis Island Research Library to the Bob Hope Memorial Library. The stamp dedication ceremony to commemorate Bob Hope on a First-Class Commemorative stamp will take place May 29 in California on what would have been his 106th birthday. The stamp will be available nationwide that day.

Shelly Burch has returned to New York with a vengeance. Last month she costarred at the 92nd Street Y's Lyrics and Lyricists: Rodgers & and this month she is starring in a weeklong cabaret engagement at the Metropolitan Room, February 25 thru March 2.
