Michael Kutza, Founder and CEO of Cinema/Chicago, the presenting organization of the Chicago International Film Festival, today announced that he will be retiring from his role at the end of 2018.

Casting has been announced for the World Premiere of THE BABY DANCE: MIXED, a new adaptation by Emmy Award-winner JANE ANDERSON ("Olive Kitteridge") of her acclaimed 2004 play The Baby Dance. A drama delicately laced with comic overtones, THE BABY DANCE: MIXED is a compelling and urgent play about race, class, and wanting the perfect child. In the story, Regina and Richard, an affluent mixed-race couple in Los Angeles, have everything except a baby. Wanda and Al, an African-American couple living in an overcrowded trailer in modern-day Louisiana, are too poor to keep their soon-to-be-born child. Through an adoption attorney, the two couples broker a deal. However, circumstances arise that affect their decision and the situation spins out of control. The Wall Street Journal described The Baby Dance as "filled with emotional power and nimble humor." The L.A. Times called it "a stunner…funny as well as perceptive."

Ensemble for the Romantic Century (Eve Wolf, Executive Artistic Director) is proud to announce that the cast Tchaikovsky: None but the Lonely Heart, the final production of the 2017-'18 season, at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues) beginning May 17th. Opening Night is set for May 31st. This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through June 17th only.

The Young Vic Theatre announced the cast of its upcoming production of The Inheritance on Twitter today. Andrew Burnap and John Benjamin Hickey will play the roles of Toby and Henry respectively, whilst Samuel H. Levine and Kyle Soller will join them in the roles of Adam/Leo and Eric. Running now until December 16, NOT ABOUT NIGHTINGALES is one of Williams' early works, written in 1938. The play's rough edges help to bridge our understanding of how an aspiring Thomas would later become known to the world as Tennessee. Such a rarity is this play that it was not produced until the 1990's after Vanessa Redgrave first heard of its existence, and then persisted in bringing it to the stage.
