After last month's announcement that the Tony Award-winning musical An American in Paris would close on January 1, 2017 at Broadway's Palace Theatre, the musical's producers have just confirmed an earlier closing date.

The evening closed with former NHSMTA participant Eva Noblezada, who performed 'On My Own' and 'Do You Hear the People Sing' with the nominees. She will be reprising her critically-acclaimed London performance as Kim in the upcoming Broadway production of Miss Saigon. Click here to check out her brilliant performance!

Every year the nation's most talented high schoolers flock to the Minskoff Theatre for the NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE AWARDS (NHSMTA)/JIMMY AWARDS. This year's the eighth annual ceremony took place on June 27, hosted by Tony Award®-nominee Zachary Levi. The coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor was presented to Josh Stroblrepresenting The Jerry Herman Awards and Amina Faye representing The Blumey Awards.

This one-of-a-kind-event was hosted by Tony Award®-nominee Zachary Levi, currently starring on Broadway in Roundabout Theatre Company's She Loves Me at Studio 54.

After months of exclusive coverage by BroadwayWorld, including written and video blogs, interviews of nominees and winners, plus tons of other features, dozens of kids from across the country gathered last night to compete for the ultimate prize- Best Performance by an Actor and Actress at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards. Just announced, the Tony Award-winning musical An American in Paris will close on Sunday, January 1, 2017. Since the first performance at Broadway's Palace Theatre on March 13, 2015, An American in Paris will have played 719 regular performances and 29 previews.

PITTSBURGH CLO announced today before an enthusiastic crowd of Board Members, donors and friends at its Cabaret Theater in the Cultural District of downtown Pittsburgh that it has embarked on a $10 million fundraising effort called THE NEXT GENERATION CAMPAIGN, marking only the second capital campaign in the organization's 70-year history.

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS will launch a national tour in Boston at the Citi Wang Theatre October 25-November 6, following a preview period at Proctor's in Schenectady, NY. As previously announced, Garen Scribner,currently playing Jerry Mulligan in the Broadway production, will star in the tour along with Sara Esty, who plays Lise Dassin at various performances on Broadway. Additional casting for the tour will be announced in the coming months.

An American in Paris bursts into life on the West End stage for the first time when ChristopherWheeldon's multi award-winning new Broadway musical comes to London's Dominion Theatre next spring. 

Pittsburgh CLO will host an exclusive evening with Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris (Fun Home) and co-creator/star of DISASTER! Seth Rudetsky at the CLO Cabaret on May 23. This exciting fundraiser will support Pittsburgh CLO's continuing commitment to the fostering of new musicals for Pittsburgh and beyond.

The Tony Award-winning hit musical AN AMERICAN IN PARIS celebrates its first year on Broadway tonight, Tuesday, April 12. Since it opened on April 12, 2015 at the Palace Theatre, AN AMERICAN IN PARIS has played 416 regular performances and 29 previews and has been seen by over 650,000 people. Following the performance on April 12, the cast will be treated to a special anniversary cake provided by Carlo's Bakery.

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, the most awarded new musical of 2015 and winner of four Tony Awards, will play the Benedum Center for a two-week engagement May 30-June 11, 2017. The first national tour of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS will be presented as part of the Pittsburgh CLO 2017 Summer Season and the PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh 2016-17 series.
