The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted the largest year-to-year gain in viewers (6.55m from 6.38m, +170,000) among the network evening news broadcasts for the week ending Sept. 25, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.

Chris Van Cleave and Friends to Play Fallon House Theatre, 10/13

Chris Van Cleave and friends from the cast of Sierra Rep's Mark Twain's A Murder, A Mystery and A Marriage will present an evening of acoustic music at the Fallon House Theatre on Monday, October 13 at 7 p.m. Van Cleave returns to the Sonora, Columbia area after visiting his grandmother here in 1973. He will premier a new song inspired by that memory at his concert, which will also feature eclectic styles of music, from light rock to country to folk. Tickets are $15 for adults, $7.50 for children and are available for purchase online at www.sierrarep.org or by calling the Sierra Repertory Theatre Box Office at 209-532-3120.

Kris Van Cleave has been named a correspondent for CBS Newspath, the Network's 24-hour television newsgathering service for CBS stations and broadcasters around the world. He will be based in New York City, and his appointment is effective immediately.

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary season, the Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition continues to spotlight the best emerging playwrights with a full production for the competition winner and staged readings for four competition finalists. IN LOVE AND WARCRAFT, the 10th competition winner, will premiere on the Hertz Stage January 31 - February 23, 2014. Opening night is February 5, 2014. IN LOVE AND WARCRAFT is written by Madhuri Shekar, a recent graduate of the MFA program at the University of South California, and will be directed by Laura Kepley, Artistic Director of the Cleveland Play House.

The Sarasota Museum of Art/SMOA, a division of Ringling College of Art and Design, today announced the winners of the 'Sticks and Clicks' photography competition. Created as part of SMOA's 2013 "ARTmuse" program, 'Sticks and Clicks' challenged photographers in professional, amateur and student classifications to shoot and submit creative images of renowned sculptor Patrick Dougherty's recently completed Stickworks installation, 'Out in Front'.
