The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up year-to-year in the key news demographics and posted the largest percentage gains in adults 25-54 and viewers among the network evening news broadcasts for the week ending Oct. 2

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted the largest year-to-year gain in viewers (6.55m from 6.38m, +170,000) among the network evening news broadcasts for the week ending Sept. 25, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +6% year-to-year in viewers (6.50m from 6.14m), adding +360,000 viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending August 28.

CBS News' evening, primetime and morning news broadcasts delivered powerful performances with adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – and viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending May 31.

Chris Van Cleave and friends from the cast of Sierra Rep's Mark Twain's A Murder, A Mystery and A Marriage will present an evening of acoustic music at the Fallon House Theatre on Monday, October 13 at 7 p.m. Van Cleave returns to the Sonora, Columbia area after visiting his grandmother here in 1973. He will premier a new song inspired by that memory at his concert, which will also feature eclectic styles of music, from light rock to country to folk. Kris Van Cleave has been named a correspondent for CBS Newspath, the Network's 24-hour television newsgathering service for CBS stations and broadcasters around the world. He will be based in New York City, and his appointment is effective immediately.

It is great to speak to performers about that first big break and their career to hear all the different stories of how people 'get to NYC'.
