On December 28th, here in NYC at Symphony Space, I am very excited to be one of the guest stars (along with the great Melba Moore and some of the best singers and dancers in this town!) in a very special tribute/benefit to LUIGI (1925-2015), the man who revolutionized jazz dance in America. Years ago, when I was practically a kid, studying to move to New York City and break into the biz, I had a dance scholarship in the Luigi technique. And when I came to New York I studied with him. He changed my life, but then again, he seems to have changed everyone's life that was lucky enough to know him.

BroadwayWorld is excited to report that BROADWAY: BEYOND THE GOLDEN AGE, Award-winning director Rick McKay's anxiously awaited sequel to his 2004 hit film, BROADWAY: THE GOLDEN AGE, is set to make its World Premiere at the 27th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival, which takes place January 1-11, 2016.

CHARLES BUSCH, author and star of such plays as Psycho Beach Party, Times Square Angel, The Lady in Question, Red Scare on Sunset, You Should Be So Lucky, Shanghai Moon and The Divine Sister brings his iconic Cabaret stylings to The COPA Palm Springs for two 'sure to be sell-out' performances, October 16 and 17 at 8:00 pm.   Born in New York City, he began his theatrical career shortly after graduating from Northwestern University in 1976.  After spending two years in Chicago working with different local theatre companies, he returned to his home town of New York City with a solo play called Hollywood Confidential, which he performed as a weekend late show at Charles Ludlam's Ridiculous Theatrical Company's theatre at One Sheridan Square.

GREY GARDENS Tony Award winner Mary Louise Wilson will be present for the Chicago premiere of SHE'S THE BEST THING IN IT, a documentary about Wilson also featuring Frances McDormand, Melissa Leo, Tyne Daly, Estelle Parsons, Valerie Harper and Charlotte Rae.

San Diego Musical Theatre announces the third production of their 2015 season, La Cage Aux Folles, September 25 - October 11, 2015 (press opening on Saturday, September 26), at the Spreckels Theatre on Broadway in downtown San Diego.

Rick McKay, the producer/director of THE GOLDEN AGE FILM TRILOGY, has just unveiled a new clip from the upcoming project, this time featuring an interview with Valerie Harper, telling the story of how the great Lucille Ball improvised one night on Broadway in the show WILDCAT in 1960. Audiences who can't get enough of reality television can take their obsession to the next level when the spectacular dancing and singing extravaganza BALLROOM WITH A TWIST performs live on stage at Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre. BALLROOM WITH A TWIST featuring celebrity pros from 'Dancing with the Stars,' dancing with finalists from 'So You Think You Can Dance' along with live vocals provided by finalists from 'American Idol,' and 'The X Factor,' will play three performances only this weekend, July 23 - July 25.
