59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) welcomes the return of St. Louis Actors' Studio with the LaBUTE NEW THEATER FESTIVAL, featuring the NYC premiere of one-act plays written by Neil LaBute, James Haigney, and Carter W. Lewis, and directed by John Pierson. The LaBUTE NEW THEATER FESTIVAL begins performances on Thursday, January 11 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 4. Broadway vet Leah Hocking, whose credits include Billy Elliott: The Musical, Hairspray and All Shook Up, rounds out the cast of THE MAD ONES, a new musical featuring book, music & lyrics by Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, and directed by Stephen Brackett.

Prospect Theater Company Announces THE MAD ONES and More for 2017-18 Season

Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) has announced its 2017-2018 season, featuring premiere productions of Kait Kerriganand Brian Lowdermilk's The Mad Ones, and Jason Grote and Marisa Michelson's One Thousand Nights and One Day.

Yonder Window Theatre Company and Parity Productions have announced that writer/performer Romy Nordlinger's Places is among the selected performances for this year's East to Edinburgh at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director). Places will play 6 performances in July before traveling to Edinburgh, Scotland for the 2017 Fringe Festival where it will have 25 performances over the month of August (4th - 27th).

Val Day Joins 59E59 Theaters as New Artistic Director

59E59 Theaters announces that Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director, and Peter Tear, Executive Producer, will be stepping down from their roles at the theater. Val Day, a longtime agent with William Morris and ICM, has been appointed the new Artistic Director.

ICM Adds Theater Agent, Promotes 2 in NY

Veteran theater agent Val Day has joined ICM, according to Deadline. Day previously was at WME, where she represented the estate of Eugene O'Neill as well as playwrights Athol Fugard, Adam Bock, Jordan Harrison, Amy Herzog, Dan LeFranc and Nilaja Sun. She also repped lyricist Chad Beguelin, composer Gabe Kahane, and directors David Cromer, Trip Cullman, Gordon Edelstein, Anne Kauffman, Simon Phillips, Hal Brooks and Mark Rucker.
