Rehearsals begin for Arizona Theatre Company's world premiere production of Jeffrey Hatcher's Ten Chimneys this week in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin at Ten Chimneys, the historical former estate of Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.

FINAL On-Camera Acting Classes taught by Martin Thompson at JTA Talent in Charlotte

On December 6, 2010 (on what would have been Lynn Fontanne's 123rd birthday), Ten Chimneys Foundation announced that ten of the top stage actors in America have been selected as the 2011 Lunt-Fontanne Fellows. These ten distinguished actors (see list below) were nominated by the nation's premier regional theatres to participate in the Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship Program, a widely acclaimed national program to serve the future of American theatre. Next summer (July 24-31, 2011), the newly selected Lunt-Fontanne Fellows will join Academy Award-winning actress Olympia Dukakis for an intensive weeklong master class and immersion experience at Ten Chimneys, the National Historic Landmark estate of Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin (just outside of Milwaukee).

Piven Theatre Workshop extends its 2009-10 season with the Chicago premiere of Sarah Ruhl's adaptation of Chekov's Three Sisters, directed by Artistic Director Emeritus Joyce Piven. The production will run October 16 - November 21, 2010 at Piven Theatre Workshop, 927 Noyes Street

Burning Coal's 2010/2011 season will include: TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD by Christopher Sergel from the novel by Harper Lee directed by Randolph Curtis Rand (September 9 - 26, 2010), ST. NICHOLAS by Conor McPherson, directed by Randolph Curtis Rand (November 4 - 21, 2010), CROWNS by Regina Taylor, directed by Rebecca Holderness (December 2 - 19, 2010), BLUE by Kelly Doyle, directed by Mark Sutch (January 13 - 30, 2011) and THE SHAPE OF THE TABLE by David Edgar, directed by Jerome Davis (April 7 - 24, 2011).

Burning Coal Theatre Company announces its second production of the 2010/2011 season, St. Nicholas, a one-man show by the Irish writer Conor McPherson, directed by Randolph Curtis Rand and featuring Burning Coal Artistic Director Jerome Davis. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm (November 4 - 6, 11 - 13, 18 - 20) and Sundays at 2 pm (November 7, 14 and 21, 2010). Tickets are $20 or $15 for students, seniors and active military. Thursday evening tickets are $10 apiece and Sunday, November 7th at 2 pm is our 'Pay What You Can' performance. The production will take place at the Murphey School, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC (PLEASE NOTE venue name change). The Theatre School at DePaul University is delighted to announce that this coming December 31, 2010, will mark the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Merle Reskin Theatre (formerly The Blackstone Theatre). The Beaux-Arts style Blackstone Theatre, which was designed by Chicago architects Marshall and Fox, opened its doors just off of Michigan Avenue in the South Loop on New Years' Eve of 1910. In the course of the past century it has changed owners, names, addresses, audiences, and has stayed a hub of theatrical arts in a changing neighborhood and city. It faced many noteworthy changes in entertainment, including the introduction of the radio, television and film industries.

HB Studio and the HB Playwrights Foundation will host a special benefit to celebrate the launchof the Hagen Institute for Intensive Study on November 8, 2010 at The Players, 16 Gramercy Park South.
