'CURIOUS INCIDENT' Will Welcome New Cast Members on Broadway This Fall, Including Alex Sharp's Successor

On September 15, the Tony Award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time will welcome Tyler Lea in his Broadway debut as Christopher, Rosie Benton (Stick Fly) as Siobhan, Andrew Long (The Iceman Cometh at BAM) as Ed, and Nancy Robinette('Louie') as Mrs. Alexander, BroadwayWorld has just confirmed. Benjamin Wheelwright will also make his Broadway debut as Christopher at certain performances.

THE NORWEGIANS to Play 150th Performance on 4/5

In an open-ended run that shows no signs of slowing down, The Drilling Company's production of 'The Norwegians' by C. Denby Swanson, directed by Elowyn Castle, will have its 150th performance on April 5.

'The Norwegians,' Cold-Weather Comedy, Now On Sale thru 3/23

The Norwegians' by C. Denby Swanson now has tickets on sale through March 23 for its open-ended Off-Broadway run at The Drilling Company, 236 West 78th Street. New York's arctic vortex weather has been seasonally favorable to this cold-weather comedy, which is set in Minnnesota at this time of the year. It depicts two young women are plotting revenge against the men who should have kept them warm through a Minnesota winter but didn't.

THE NORWEGIANS Resumes Performances 1/9 at Drilling Company

After a six-week hiatus, 'The Norwegians' by C. Denby Swanson will resume Off-Broadway performances on January 9, 2014 at The Drilling Company, 236 West 78th Street. The production, which began Off-off Broadway last season, has had 75 performances so far. It played Off-off Broadway from March 8 to April 14, 2013 and re-opened October 3, 2014 on an Off-Broadway contract. The Off-Broadway run was suspended November 24, 2013 to accommodate a pre-existing commitment for the theater space. Encouraged by solid audience demand, The Drilling Company has decided to resume the Off-Broadway production January 9, 2014 as an open-ended run.

Drilling Company Extends THE NORWEGIANS Through 11/24

The Drilling Company has extended its Off-Broadway production of 'The Norwegians' by C. Denby Swanson, directed by Elowyn Castle, through November 24. Performances will continue at The Drilling Company Theatre, 236 West 78th Street. That's where the show began Off-off Broadway last season and where it was re-mounted as The Drilling Company's first Off-Broadway production. Originally scheduled for October 3 to 28, the Off-Broadway run has been extended through November 24 due to hearty audience response.

From October 3 to 28, 2013 The Drilling Company will present an Off-Broadway run of its hit comedy from last season, 'The Norwegians' by C. Denby Swanson, directed by Elowyn Castle. Performances will be at The Drilling Company Theatre, 236 West 78th Street, featuring the original cast.

The Drilling Company Extends THE NORWEGIANS Through 3/30

'The Norwegians' by C. Denby Swanson is described as a strong, bitter comedy about women scorned in Minnesota and the really, really nice gangsters--Norwegian hit men--they hire to whack their ex-boyfriends. Olive is a transplant from Texas and Betty is a transplant from Kentucky, but neither of them was prepared for the Norwegian men they would fall in love with there: the practical, warm, thoughtful, destructive, evil, jilting kind.

Multi-Genre Music Ensemble International Street Cannibals Presents FISHY BIZNESS, 10/14

The International Street Cannibals, the multi-genre new music ensemble of seasoned chamber musicians/composers directed by Dan Barrett and co-directed by Dan Cooper and Chala Yancy, will inaugurate its 2012-13 season with Fishy Bizness in the main performance space of St. Mark's in-the-Bowery tonight, October 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Multi-Genre Music Ensemble International Street Cannibals Presents FISHY BIZNESS, 10/14

The International Street Cannibals, the multi-genre new music ensemble of seasoned chamber musicians/composers directed by Dan Barrett and co-directed by Dan Cooper and Chala Yancy, will inaugurate its 2012-13 season with Fishy Bizness in the main performance space of St. Mark's in-the-Bowery on Sunday, October 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Broadway In Chicago Announces Finalists for Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards

Broadway In Chicagois today announced the twenty-four finalists for the First Annual Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards. The finalists (12 young actors & 12 young actresses) have been invited to participate in the Awards program, which will be held at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St.) on Monday, May 7, 2012.
