INDEPENDENT SHAKESPEARE CO. (ISC), producers of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival, presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL WITH CHARLES DICKENS. In his lifetime, Charles Dickens was recognized not only as a great writer, but as an actor. His greatest successes on the stages of Britain and the United States were his solo performances of his own work. One of the first pieces he presented to great acclaim was A Christmas Carol. A CHRISTMAS CAROL WITH CHARLES DICKENS will perform at Independent Studio from Thursday, December 8 - Sunday, December 18(Thursdays - Sundays) at Independent Studio in the Atwater Crossing Arts + Innovation Complex, 3191 Casitas Ave., #168 in Atwater Village.

Ford's Theatre Society announced that the company of the 2016 production of A Christmas Carol is partnering withFood & Friends to create a donation drive inspired by the themes of charity in Dickens's holiday classic. Food & Friends is a community organization dedicated to delivering nearly 1 million specialized meals and groceries each year to those with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses. During the curtain calls for performances of A Christmas Carol, the company will collect monetary donations on behalf of the Washington-based non-profit.

Gregory Harrell is a performer and voice teacher who lived in NYC for over 20 years, singing, loving, and consuming tacos across the country. Harrell is currently an Associate Professor of Voice at Baldwin Wallace University. Previously, he taught at Western Michigan University specializing in music theatre performance. His students regularly appear on Broadway, London's West End, National Tours, Las Vegas and TV and film.
