Olney Theatre Center to Present OVER THE TAVERN, 9/26-10/21

Olney Theatre Center, the award-winning, year-round arts and entertainment destination, announces the opening of the area premiere of Over the Tavern by Tom Dudzick. Over the Tavern will grace Olney Theatre Center's Mainstage from September 26 to October 21, 2012.

Ford's Theatre presents the Washington premiere of "Fly," by Trey Ellis and Ricardo Khan, directed by Ricardo Khan, September 21 through October 21, 2012. The centerpiece of this year's programming for The Lincoln Legacy Project, "Fly" is based on the experiences of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II.

The Ford's Theatre Society recently announced that the Tony Award-winning musical "1776," directed by Peter Flynn, has surpassed revenue records to become the highest grossing theatrical production since the historic theatre reopened as a working playhouse in 1968. But due to previous commitments by the actors and Ford's Theatre, "1776" must close tonight, May 19, 2012.
