Pittsburgh Playhouse Announces 2022-23 Season

The award-winning Pittsburgh Playhouse at Point Park University, a multidisciplinary arts and entertainment center located in Downtown Pittsburgh, announced the lineup for their Inside/Outside Summer Series as well as over 30 performances across a multitude of arts disciplines for the 2022-2023 season.

Susan Jaffe Named Artistic Director Of American Ballet Theatre

Former American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer Susan Jaffe has been named the Company's next Artistic Director. Jaffe's appointment, effective December 2022, was announced today by Andrew Barth, ABT Chairman of the Board of Governing Trustees.

Four years in the making, A.I.M by Kyle Abraham presented the hour-long dance piece entitled An Untitled Love but, although it may have been “untitled” it certainly encompassed many myriad moods, feelings and styles of dance while emphasizing the need for connection in an often-broken world with humor, subtle satire, compassion, and deft timing.  Utilizing an exceptional ensemble of dancers and incorporating extremely compelling and continually surprising styles of choreography, music, lighting, and scenic design---this mesmerizing dance composition was constantly eclectic in presentation.

ABT Studio Company Will Return to In-Person NYC Performances With SPRING MOVES

ABT Studio Company will present Spring Moves, World and New York City Premieres at NYU Skirball, Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21 at 7:30 P.M. ET. Both before and throughout the pandemic, National Sawdust’s mission has been to provide artists with financial and creative opportunities, audiences with access to groundbreaking work presented in remarkably high fidelity, and to support young creators by means of a rigorous mentorship network. New York City Ballet’s 2022 Spring Season will open on Tuesday, April 19 with a program featuring two works by the Company’s co-Founding Choreographers – Serenade by George Balanchine and The Goldberg Variations by Jerome Robbins.
