51Fest Announces Inaugural Lineup

51Fest, presented by Women in the World and IFC Center, today unveiled the lineup for the inaugural event. Celebrating the voice, vision and stories of the female majority through compelling screenings and conversations, all by or about women, the first annual 51Fest will be held July 18-21 in New York City.

Celebrating its 37th anniversary, Outfest - the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBTQ stories on the screen - today announced the complete programming lineup for the 2019 Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival, presented by HBO. The nation's leading LGBTQ festival will be held July 18-28, 2019.
Emeli Sande Announces U.K. Tour

Today, multi-platinum, award-winning singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé MBE announces her U.K tour ahead of the release of her much anticipated third album 'Real Life' set for worldwide release 13th September 2019 on Virgin/EMI. Kicking off in Liverpool on 16 November, Emeli will perform in cities across the U.K. before concluding on 13 December in Hull. Composer and producer Troy Miller presents Gershwin Reimagined, a night of timeless classics such as 'Embraceable You', 'Summertime' and 'I Got Rhythm' performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra. The night features the electrifying vocals of double Mercury award-nominated Laura Mvula and Olivier Award-nominated Shaun Escoffery who, as well as releasing five albums, has played Mufasa in the West End musical The Lion King since 2008 - the longest a West End actor has played a single part continuously.

London-based jazz and neo-soul artist Alba Plano has shared her latest single 'I Hope' via Sunrise, taken from her upcoming EP White Lotus, and follows her debut single 'Out There'. For the last two years, Plano has fronted Forever Amy, a project featuring Amy Winehouse's original band, touring and performing in large venues throughout Europe and the UK. She has performed backing vocals for Ninja Tune's Jordan Rakei and has collaborated with a host of accomplished musicians such as Dale Davis (bass player and musical director for Amy Winehouse, Tina Turner and Freak Power), Jim Hunt (sax for Richard Ashcroft, Brand New Heavies, Noel Gallagher, Jamiroquai) Troy Miller (drummer and producer for Laura Mvula, Becca Stevens, Jamie Cullum) and with a previous project opened for Elio e le Storie Tese at Shepherds Bush Empire.
