Paper Mill Playhouse announced today the full cast and creative team for the East Coast premiere of Half Time. The newest addition to this stellar cast is Tony award winner and Broadway legend Donna McKechnie.

It is 7:04pm on a Thursday. To the average audience member of THE COLOR PURPLE, the most important person waiting backstage is one of the above-the-title stars (Cynthia Erivo, Jennifer Holliday or Danielle Brooks). But those in the industry know that, at this particular moment, the most important person is a woman sitting stage right in front of three monitors. That woman, with a headset on and binder in front of her, is Stage Manager Sharika Niles. She is the one who will soon give the word to start the show. She is the one who tonight is in charge of 'calling the show.' She is the one who will dictate the show the audience sees by giving the word for a spotlight, sound effect, set movement, etc..

Stars from Broadway's Hamilton, Wicked, Rent, The Book of Mormon, Chicago, Allegiance, Godspell, Sweet Charity, A Chorus Line, and some surprise celebrity special guests united last night for the first annual all-star benefit concert BROADWAY SNIFFS OUT CANCER. The show was presented at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater to raise money to train our canine friends to save lives, as well as honoring of the loved ones we've lost to cancer.

Megan Hilty (Wicked, 'Smash'), Alex Newell ('Glee') and Michael McElroy with members of the Broadway Inspirational Voices have joined the lineup of the first annual all-star benefit concert BROADWAY SNIFFS OUT CANCER.

The Off-Broadway smash, RUTHLESS! Sylvia St. Croix (as played by the fabulous Paul Pecorino in RUTHLESS!), is preparing for this year's Gay Pride festivities on Sunday. Earlier this week she brought Marcel, her newest fancy man, over to St. Luke's Theatre to show him off to her fellow cast members. Although she won't be walking the parade route (too rough on her bunions), Sylvia & Marcel will be hanging around the West Village, most likely near any booths offering food. Sylvia is widely known for her frequent eating binges (and subsequent purging).

Original cast member Tracy Jai Edwards returns to Off-Broadway's musical smash RUTHLESS! tonight (June 20) in the dual roles of Eve Allabout and Louise Lerman. Due to overwhelming demand for tickets, the show was recently extended through September 10th.

The new recording of RUTHLESS! The Musical, produced by Robert Sher for Caroline Records, will feature the entire original cast: Peter Land, Kim Maresca, Tori Murray, Rita McKenzie, Andrea McCullough, and Tracy Jai Edwards. The recording is set for today (Tuesday) at Carriage House Studios, with music supervision by Marvin Laird and music direction by Ricky Romano.
