Jo Schuman Silver, Producer of Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon, announced today the nine Bay Area high school seniors selected as finalists for the Steve Silver Foundation and Beach Blanket Babylon "Scholarship for the Arts." Each of the finalists will perform live in front of family, friends and a panel of celebrity judges on Monday, June 6. One winner in each category will be presented with a check for $15,000 towards their college education. The nine high school seniors who will perform are:

Playlist Seattle returns in April with the fourth in their ongoing series of music-inspired theatre. Volume IV comes with the theme 'Women Who Rock' and sees the company expanding their program to three nights of theatre+music - each featuring a special acoustic performance by one of the musicians highlighted. Seattle sirens Jamie Nova, Whitney Monge and Amanda Hardy will take the stage along with the actors dramatizing their work. The show runs April 14-16 at The Homestead in Ballard.

?New York City based singer/songwriters Robinson Treacher and Cariad Harmon will perform in a co-bill at The Loft at Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway on Saturday, January 23rd at 8 p.m. Tickets are just $20 and can be purchased at www.ucpac.org. The concert is part of the on-going Split Level Concert Series which highlights critically acclaimed singer-songwriters in a uniquely intimate setting.
