ROCKTOPIA is thrilled to announce that NBC's "The Voice" finalist We McDonald will be joining the show's National Tour next month. Direct from its smash-hit run on Broadway, the international music sensation kicks off its fall tour on October 18, 2018 at Bergen County Performing Arts Center in New Jersey. Nineteen-year-old McDonald joins the previously announced guest star Dee Snider from Twisted Sister for all tour stops, which include the Tilles Center in New York (October 20), Palace Theater in Pennsylvania (October 24), Akron Civic Theatre in Ohio (October 25), Youngstown Powers Memorial Auditorium in Ohio (October 26), and KeyBank State Theatre at Playhouse Square in Ohio (October 27).

BWW Review: ROCKTOPIA - A CLASSICAL REVOLUTION at The Broadway Theater
As with the Broadway season's earlier pop concert extravaganza, HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS, this theatre critic readily admits to not exactly being an ideal arts journalist to authoritatively review the touring rock anthem/classical music fusion concert called Rocktopia that has made a stop at the Broadway Theatre. Though my knowledge of the highbrow oeuvre is perhaps slightly higher than a layperson's, my experience with classic rock power ballads rarely extends further than the snippets heard at baseball and hockey games or during the occasional car commercial.
Broadway has turned up the volume! Last night at the Broadway Theatre, Rocktopia officially opened. Actors' Equity Association, the national labor union representing more than 51,000 Actors and Stage Managers, has announced that it has reached a tentative agreement with the Producers of the Broadway production Rocktopia to ensure the production will use wall-to-wall Equity contracts.
