Drury Lane Theatre brings romance and warmth to Chicago this winter with the song-and-dance extravaganza Crazy for You, featuring music by George Gershwin, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and book by Ken Ludwig, directed and choreographed by the Jeff Award-nominated director/choreographer Matt Crowle.

This time-shifting comedy challenges and parodies the rigid attitudes and social codes of the Victorian era. With a cadre of intriguing and deceptive characters, the play is a non-stop round robin of liaisons and duplicity. Act I begins in British colonial Africa during the Victorian era in 1880 and Act II continues the story only 25 years later, but is set in 1980's London. Come along as these characters decide whether to toe the line, cross it, or obliterate it all together.

Just last night, New York City Center presented Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Sunday in the Park with George, which will run through October 26. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the gala performance and you can check out photos from the star-studded red carpet below!

A few feet away from the stage of the Winter Garden where Lainie Kazan played a Ziegfeld showgirl and understudied Barbra Streisand in 'Funny Girl', a celebrity filled audience and devoted fans got to see Lainie appear on the legendary Iridium nightclub's  stage.   

Maestro LUKE FRAZIER and THE AMERICAN POPS ORCHESTRA - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - will launch the 12:15 PM lunchtime concert series "THIRD THURSDAYS" to highlight the unique musical personalities and special talents of the members of their acclaimed ensemble at Live! at 10th and G (First Congregational, UCC Washington - 945 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20001). Admission to the 30 minute events are free, but a free-will offering will benefit the DC Youth Orchestra Program, where Mr. Frazier is an Artist-in-Residence. 

Recording artist and Broadway actress Luba Mason (Chicago, Jekyll & Hyde, over half a dozen Broadway shows) is set to headline the final night of the Bratislava Jazz Days Festival in Slovakia, performing on Sunday, October 23 at 8:30pm.
