Theatre Under The Stars' (TUTS) has announced the new summer camp curriculum for both the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre (HSMT) and The River for the Performing and Visual Arts Center (The River) beginning this June. TUTS invites you to let the little camper in your life take center stage at one of our many week-long summer camp sessions developed to expand their skills through exploration of musical theatre.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced its 2013-2014 theater season. Reaching hundreds of thousands of audience members annually, the theater season features a new Kennedy Center re-imagining of Henry Krieger and Bill Russell's Side Show, in association with La Jolla Playhouse with revisions by Krieger and Russell and direction by Academy Award winning director Bill Condon; touring productions of Sister Act, Elf, Flashdance – The Musical, Peter and the Starcatcher, An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, and Disney's The Lion King; and an international theater festival highlighting renowned companies from around the world. The season will also bring the seventh season of Barbara Cook's Spotlight series, individually showcasing five Broadway performers in a cabaret setting. Committed to arts education, creation of new works, and community and national involvement, the Center also hosts the 12th annual Page-to-Stage new play festival and the 46th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

Students from Theatre Under The Stars' (TUTS) Humphreys School of Musical Theatre (HSMT) recently received several accolades including Outstanding Achievement in Music, Outstanding Student Director, Outstanding Student Choreographer and Outstanding Performance in the nation-wide Junior Theater Festival, January 18 - 20, 2013.

Now, Disney Theatrical Productions has confirmed that Aladdin, a new musical based on the Academy Award winning animated film, will play its pre-Broadway engagement at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre(formerly the Canon) November 13, 2013 to January 12, 2014 and will open at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre in 2014. The show will feature music by Alan Menken; lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin with a book by Beguelin. Casey Nicholaw will direct and choreograph.
