TOMMY ON TOP is a laugh out loud bedroom farce about a closeted hunky actor, Tommy Miller, who is about to become the first gay actor to win an Oscar – if he plays his cards right and keeps his queerness at bay. TOMMY ON TOP is by the British playwright Chris Woodley, whose credits include scripts for the long-running BBC series EASTENDERS. PrideArts Artistic Director Jay Españo is stage director and set designer.

PrideArts Artistic Director Jay Españo has announced his cast for the Chicago premiere of TOMMY ON TOP – a comedy that premiered in London’s West End at the Above the Stag Theatre last summer.

PrideArts will conclude its 2021-22 season with the Chicago premiere of TOMMY ON TOP – a comedy that premiered in London’s West End at the Above the Stag Theatre last summer. PrideArts Artistic Director Jay Españo made the announcement today.

This summer, longtime Goodman Producer Steve Scott directs a major revival of Eugene O'Neill's 'warm-hearted, welcome dose of love and laughter' (Los Angeles Times), which concludes the Goodman's 2016/2017 season.

Asolo Rep continues its 2015-16 season with quintessential American playwright Eugene O'Neill's sentimental comedy AH, WILDERNESS!, directed by Greg Leaming, associate artistic director of Asolo Rep and the director of the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. The Tony Award, Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winner's sole comedy opens tonight, January 22 at 8pm and runs in rotating repertory through Sunday, April 10 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

It may take a village to save a kid, but ultimately the kid needs to choose life. Girl on the Edge, directed by Jay Silverman and making its world debut at the Sedona International Film Festival on February 28th, tells the story of 15-year old Hannah Green, brilliantly portrayed by Taylor Spreitler, and her journey from victimhood to self-discovery.
