Numerous events are scheduled for January 4-8, 2018, including The Auction at Graceland, the opening of the new Hollywood Backlot exhibit in the Elvis Presley's Memphis entertainment and exhibit complex, the annual Birthday Proclamation on the front lawn of the Graceland mansion and a performance by the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Stage and television entertainer Keith Chegwin has died following a long term battle with a 'progressive lung condition.' He was 60 years old. Chegwin was a regular in pantomime, most recently starring in a pantomime tour of Beauty and the Beast in March last year. He also appeared in West End shows including Tom Brown's School Days and The Good Old Bad Old Days. He starred as Fleance in Roman Polanski's Macbeth in 1971.

It opens at Bromfield Village Hall, Shropshire on 7 March before embarking on a national rural tour including ten performances in The Salberg at Salisbury Playhouse.
The Public Theater has announced a final extension today for the first major New York revival of PLENTY, written by David Hare. Directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux, the show began performances on Tuesday, November 4 and was originally extended through Sunday, November 20. It will now run through Thursday, December 1, with an official press opening Sunday, October 23.
