Pioneer Theatre Company's production of The Philadelphia Story is a pleasant distraction from the winter weather and the stress of everyday life.

Pioneer Theatre Company presents the romantic comedy The Philadelphia Story January 11 through 26, 2013.

This holiday season, PlayMakers Repertory Company will treat Triangle audiences to a family-friendly live version of a treasured holiday film with its production "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" by Joe Landry. PlayMakers, the professional theater in residence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will present "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" now through Dec. 16 in the Paul Green Theatre at UNC's Center for Dramatic Art on Country Club Road. One For My Baby is a song-and-dance celebration of big-city nightlife at the end of World War II with direction and choreography by Scott Thompson, who co-authored the book with musical arranger/musical director, Fred Barton. One for My Baby promises such classics as 'Stormy Weather,' 'Get Happy,' 'The Man that Got Away,' 'Come Rain or Come Shine,' 'It's Only a Paper Moon,' 'That Old Black Magic' and 'Blues in the Night."
