One For My Baby is a song-and-dance celebration of big-city nightlife at the end of World War II with direction and choreography by Scott Thompson, who co-authored the book with musical arranger/musical director, Fred Barton. One for My Baby promises such classics as "Stormy Weather," "Get Happy," "The Man that Got Away," "Come Rain or Come Shine," "It's Only a Paper Moon," "That Old Black Magic" and "Blues in the Night."

The musical is brought to life by a 9-piece band and a cast of 29 led by Tony nominees Vivian Reed (Bubbling Brown Sugar) and Stephen Bogardus (Falsettos, Man of La Mancha). The all-star cast also includes Luba Mason, Jennifer Cody, Anastasia Barzee, Julie Tolivar, Damon Kirsche, Robert Hartwell, Matt Loehr, Jenelle Lynn Randall, Todd Lawson and Michael Scott.

"One For My Baby has already had an incredible journey," says Scott Thompson (Director, Choreographer and co-author). "Now at last, the New York workshop – and the journey continues!" The show received record-breaking funding from Kickstarter, a crowd funding website where artists present their projects to the public and solicit donations to literally "kickstart their dream."

Thompson explains, "Our dream was always about honoring Harold Arlen. It was also about writing the kind of show that would fully utilize the triple threat talents of a wide variety of performers. A seasoned group who have, in our opinion, had little opportunity to 'show off" in recent years. We wanted a cast who remembers how to stop a show. And we got 'em!

One for My Baby is co-produced by One for My Baby, LLC, and The Broadway Musicals Company, in association with Carolyn and Marc Seriff, Louise H. Beard, Maureen E. Gillespie, Carolyn Gallagher, Brian Zucker, Karl Held, Cliff and Linda Mountain, Ginger Morris, Darryl ReuBen Hall and Travis P. Brendle.
General management is by Brierpatch Productions, Scott Newsome and Laura Cronin. Casting is by Stuart Howard and Associates. Legal representation is by Jonathan Herzog.
