FENCES Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Arrives Today

Sony Classical and Madison Gate Records announce the release of FENCES (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), featuring music by Marcelos Zarvos. The soundtrack is available today, December 16. The film arrives in theatres on December 25, 2016.

Lincoln Center and TDF Extend TKTS Pop-Up Residency

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Theatre Development Fund (TDF) announce a three-month extension of the pop-up TKTS residency at the David Rubenstein Atrium's Zucker Box Office (located on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets) through Saturday, January 28.

BWW Interviews: NEW VOICE PLAY FESTIVAL Premieres Original Works at Old Opera House

The New Voice Play Festival, opening on June 19 at the Old Opera House in Charles Town, WV, provides the opportunity for audiences to witness completely new and original plays from playwrights all across the nation and vote on which play is their favorite. The four plays chosen this year vary from zany comedies to thought-provoking dramas and present various challenges to the actors and directors.

STAGE TUBE: John Kander, Bill T. Jones & More Recieve National Medals of Arts

Just yesterday, President Barack Obama presented the National Medals of Arts in conjunction with the National Humanities Medals in an East Room ceremony at the White House. NEA Chairman Jane Chu said, 'Whether its animation or architecture, writing or music, these artists' creativity and passion have made an enormous impact on our nation. I join the President in congratulating them and celebrating the arts in our country.' The official citations for the 2013 National Medal of Arts recipients are: Julia Alvarez, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Joan Harris, Bill T. Jones, John Kander, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Maxine Hong Kingston, Albert Maysles, Linda Ronstadt, Billie Tsien and Tod Williams, and James Turrell. Check out the ceremony below!

John Kander, Bill T. Jones, BAM & More to Receive 2013 National Medals of Arts

President Barack Obama will present the National Medals of Arts in conjunction with the National Humanities Medals on Monday, July 28, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. ET, in an East Room ceremony at the White House. First Lady Michelle Obama will attend. The event will be live streamed at WH.gov/Live.

Robert De Niro to Join Robert Pattinson in Olivier Assayas' IDOL'S EYE

Benaroya Pictures has announced today that they are now on board to produce and finance director Olivier Assayas' IDOL'S EYE, with a confirmed cast that includes Robert Pattinson and Robert De Niro. Charles Gillibert developed and produced the project with CG Cinema, Bluegrass Films' Scott Stuber, Film 360's Scott Lambert, Alexandra Milchan and Michael Benaroya, with Ben Sachs executive producing for Benaroya Pictures. The film is scheduled to begin principal photography in October in Chicago and Toronto.
