PAAL Summit Secures New 42 As Sponsor For First National Summit On Parent Support

In anticipation of the PAAL Summit happening Friday, December 6, 2019, New 42 will sponsor childcare provision for the first national summit on parent support. This sponsorship allows the PAAL Summit to provide free on-site childcare for event attendees and volunteers. Broadway Babysitters, LLC, will be the professional caregiving service providing care.

Bright stars of Broadway perform a rockin' evening of musical theater by the women who make the music in this industry. Maestra is an organization founded by Georgia Stitt that exists to give support, visibility, and community to female composers, music directors, orchestrators, arrangers, copyists, music coordinators, and musicians who are an underrepresented minority in musical theater. It's time for them to be heard.

Bonnie Comley, Founder of BroadwayHD, was the guest speaker at MAESTRA's May seminar at SongSpace. Composer/lyricist and music director Georgia Stitt founded the MAESTRA organization in 2017 to give support, visibility, and community to the women who make the music in the musical theater industry. The MAESTRA membership is made up of female-identifying, non-binary, and gender non-conforming composers, music directors, orchestrators, arrangers, copyists, rehearsal pianists and other musicians who are underrepresented minorities in musical theater. Songwriter and composer, Kathy Sommer, moderated the seminar.

WINTER RHYTHMS 2016 Launches This Week at Urban Stages with KT Sullivan

Betsy Wolfe, Margo Seibert & More Join NYMF's WOMEN OF NOTE Concert Series Lineup

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) has announced the performer lineup for the Women of Note concert series, celebrating female, queer and trans artists who are changing the landscape of musical theatre. Featuring dynamic sounds and incredible performers, this one-night-only concert event will showcase even more artists than last year in two back-to-back performances.  Women of Note will take place at The Duke on 42nd Street (229 W. 42nd Street) on Monday, August 1 with two separate lineups at 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm. The deVaron Lerangis Family Band (singer/composer/pianist Tina deVaron, and her sons, singer/composer/producer Nick Lerangis of the band, Evening Darling, and teacher/musician/historian Joe Lerangis of the American School of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia) will perform one show at Caffe Vivaldi tonight, July 9th from 7-8pm. Caffe Vivaldi is in Greenwich Village at 32 Jones St, between West 4th and Bleecker. Call (212) 691-7538 for more information. This is a very special event, and advance planning is highly recommended, as the room is small.
