Actors' Gang Announces ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST

The Actors' Gang will begin previews for Accidental Death Of An Anarchist, written by Italian playwright and Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo, on Thursday, January 24th with a Pay What You Can first preview. Directed by Will Thomas McFadden, this wickedly funny satire will run Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, through March 9th. The press opening is Saturday, February 2nd.   

FRIDAY NIGHT FLICKS SERIES Announced At Bay Street Theater

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce a new film series called Friday Night Flicks will feature films on February 1, 8 and April 12 at 8 pm, each of which will be followed by talkbacks and Q&A with the audience.  

Long Beach Opera Announces Community Conversations

World Premiere Play MAVERICK Depicts Orson Welles' Final Days

Executive Producers Pam Carter and The Cliplight Theater, in conjunction with Amanda Cooper/ALC Management, are pleased to announce the world premiere of Maverick, co-authored by Frank Beacham and George Demas. A dramatization of co-author Beacham's real-life experience collaborating with Orson Welles in the months leading up to his death, Maverick begins previews at The Connelly Theater (220 E. 4th St., between Ave. A & Ave. B) on February 6, with opening night set for February 13 for a limited run through March 2. Bay Street Theater Challenge To Stop Use Of Plastic Water Bottles And Straws

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce that it is putting out the challenge to all of Main Street, Sag Harbor to eliminate single-use plastic water bottles and plastic straws. Bay Street will be kicking-off this effort in 2019 at the first of its' upcoming Friday Night Flicks film series beginning in February.

The Actors' Gang production of APHRODITE'S HOLIDAY SHOW will begin Thursday, November 29th as part of The Actors' Gang 2018/19 Hellzapoppin' Season. APHRODITE'S HOLIDAY SHOW will perform every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, through December 16th.

The Actors' Gang has announced an extension of 'Johnny Got His Gun' at the Ivy Substation, adding two performances, a matinee performance on November 11th, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and Veteran's Day and an evening performance on November 14th. The stage adaptation of Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dalton Trumbo's war novel, Johnny Got His Gun, written by Bradley Rand Smith and directed by Tim Robbins, began previews on October 6th and opened October 13th.

The Wallis Announces The 2018 – 2019 Wallis Studio Ensemble Company Members

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces the actors selected for The Wallis Studio Ensemble's 2018-2019 company. This marks the third season of this groundbreaking company for early-career actors producing theater for social change. The San Diego Tribune describes the emerging ensemble as 'hauntingly beautiful' - and by ArtNowLAas 'Mesmerizing ... harrowing and provocative, this is avant-garde theater that sticks with you long after the curtain comes down." The Ensemble also received the Los Angeles Times theater pick of the week in June 2018 and was featured on NPR's KPCC in a piece by Priska Neely in 2016, in its first season.

JOHNNY GOT HIS GUN Opens At The Actors' Gang Next Month

The Actors' Gang announced today that the stage adaptation of Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dalton Trumbo's war novel, Johnny Got His Gun, written by Bradley Rand Smith and directed by Tim Robbins, will kick off The Actors' Gang 2018/19 Season from Saturday, October 6th to Saturday, November 10th, 2018. The press opening is Saturday, October 13.

THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT Comes to The Actors' Gang, 9/27

The Actors' Gang Theater will begin previews of The Madwoman of Chaillot on Thursday, September 27th and run through Saturday, November 10th with an official press opening on Saturday, October 6th.

The New York Butoh Institute and Vangeline Theater present the New York Butoh Institute Festival 2018, a celebration of diversity in butoh featuring 16 artists from Japan, Brazil, Chile, UK, Israel, Italy, Germany, France, Costa Rica, Spain, and the United States. The Actors' Gang Announces 2018 Free Shakespeare In The Park

The Actors' Gang will begin performances for the 2018 Free Shakespeare in the Park for Families production of Much Ado About Avengers beginning Saturday, August 4th, continuing a 12-year tradition of free theater in Media Park. Based on William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" and inspired by the characters of Marvel's The Avengers, this 45 minute, all?ages production will run every Saturday and Sunday of August at 11am, through August 26th.

Vintage Productions works day-to-day in the vintage clothing and militaria collectibles business and the owners, Bob and Danielle Chatt, share 30 years of industry expertise. Vintage Productions show promotion experience includes owning and promoting The San Diego Historical Militaria Collectors Show for eight years, The RBF Collectibles Show in Pomona for two years and the West Coast Historical Militaria Collectors Show in Pomona, which has been continuously running for the last 10 years at the Fairplex. Vintage Productions is now in its 20th year of show promotions and is currently moving ahead with a brand new show.

Theater for the New City Announces SHAME! OR THE DOOMSDAY MACHINE

Theater for the New City's award-winning Street Theater Company will open its 42nd annual tour August 4 with 'SHAME! Or The Doomsday Machine,' a rip-roaring musical in which the Theory of Relativity explains modern politics. Free performances will tour closed-off streets, parks and playgrounds throughout the five boroughs until September 16. Book, lyrics and direction are by Crystal Field; the musical score is composed and arranged by Joseph Vernon Banks. (Schedule follows at bottom of this document.)

The Kimmel Center & Joe's Pub Join Forces

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and Joe's Pub at The Public join forces once again for the Kimmel Center Theater Residency. Under the tutelage of Jay Wahl, Producing Artistic Director of the Kimmel Center, and Shanta Thake, Director of Joe's Pub, the program serves as an incubator for artists and their collaborators to create and develop music and theater projects. The program will be held in the Kimmel Center's SEI Innovation Studio (300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA) from June 18-30 with Public Readings, free and open to the public, on June 29 and 30. Readings will be followed by Q&A sessions with the artists.
