TV: Amen! Watch Highlights of Jim Parsons in Broadway's AN ACT OF GOD

The new Broadway comedy An Act of God, starring Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Jim Parsons, began performances on May 7, and officially opens on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). Joining Parsons will be two-time Tony Award nominee Christopher Fitzgerald (Finian's Rainbow, Young Frankenstein) as 'Michael' & Tim Kazurinsky ('SNL', Police Academy) as 'Gabriel'. An Act of God is written by God, transcribed by 13-time Emmy Award winner David Javerbaum and directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello. New York's funniest show Celebrity Autobiography has added Brooke Shields, Jackie Hoffman, SNL's Sasheer Zamata and a show on June 8 at 7pm at The Triad (Stage 72 -- 158 West 72nd Street) following its scheduled shows on 6/1 at 7pm and 6/6 at 9:30pm which will celebrate Broadway and the upcoming Tony Awards. In June the production will also welcome familiar faces of Broadway, Film & TV  including Tony Award-winner Roger Bart (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Producers), Tony Award-nominee Mario Cantone (Laugh Whore, Assassins, Sex and the City), Oscar-nominee Carol Kane (Broadway in Wicked, Harvey), Rachel Dratch (SNL), Tate Donovan (Broadway in Amy's View, Good People, TV's 24, Damages), comedy legend and Tony Award-winner Alan Zweibel (Billy Crystal's 700 Sundays, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me),  Tim Kazurinsky (SNL, Police Academy,  Broadway's An Act of God) and Drama Desk-winners Eugene Pack & Dayle Reyfel.

Emmy winner Jim Parsons is back on Broadway! With the original comedy AN ACT OF GOD now in previews, Parsons and the cast recently met the press, and BroadwayWorld was on hand. George Wendt and Tim Kazurinsky to Lead FUNNYMAN at Northlight

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces the cast for the World Premiere of Bruce Graham's Funnyman, kicking off Northlight's 41st Season. The cast includes George Wendt, Tim Kazurinsky, Amanda Drinkall, Steve Haggard, Rob Lindley and an additional role to be announced. Funnyman, directed by BJ Jones and developed through Northlight's Interplay series, runs September 11-October 18, 2015 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie.

Chicago-Made Film SCROOGE & MARLEY Returns to the Music Box This Weekend

The holiday season moves into high gear today, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7 when Chicago's home grown holiday film Scrooge & Marley returns to the Music Box Theatre (3733 N. Southport Ave., Chicago) a little over two years from the date of its red carpet premiere at the historic venue in 2012.
