The Granite Theatre of Westerly, announces the opening of the one of America's most beloved musicals "Annie", book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin. The show opens Friday November 23, 2018 and runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm through December 23, 2018.    Please note the new 7:30 pm start time on evening performances!  Producer/Artistic Director for the theatre is David Jepson.

The 2003 Broadway Musical Hairspray, with a Tony Award-winning book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan and a Tony Award-winning score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman featuring the hit songs 'Welcome To The '60s,' 'You Can't Stop The Beat,' 'Mamma, I'm A Big Girl Now,' 'I Know Where I've Boon,' and many more is at running at North Shore Music Theatre through November 11, 2018. The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities kicks off its holiday season with the hit Broadway musical ELF- The Musical directed by Gavin Mayer, opening November 20, 2018. ELF -The Musical is based off the popular 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, which became an instant holiday classic. This charming musical, perfect for audiences of all ages, follows Buddy the Elf on his journey to find his true family and revive their Christmas spirit. The Belmont Theatre will present the beloved family musical ANNIE on their MainStage November 16-18 & 23 -25. Friday, Saturday and the second Thursday shows are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday shows are at 3:00 p.m. There is an additional matinee for this show Saturday, November 24, at 2 p.m. This is the perfect family entertainment to welcome the holidays since ANNIE takes place during the holiday season. Relatives traveling home for Thanksgiving can join their family for a show Thanksgiving weekend!

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC), the Jersey Shore's newest professional theater, will welcome composer Charles Strouse to celebrate his 90th birthday at the opening night of "Annie" this Friday, November 2! 

Washington New Jersey's own Echo Picone makes her debut as "Annie" at the Axelrod PAC this November.

Emmy-nominated director, choreographer, and educator Al Blackstone is revisiting his NJ roots to direct and choreograph the Axlerod PAC's production of "Annie, the Musical," starring Andrea McArdle, Broadway's original Annie, in the role of Miss Hannigan.

Produced by David and Corrin Dietlein, with direction and choreography by Cambrian James, and musical direction by Lincoln Wright, Annie has been charming, singing, and dancing her way into the American psyche for decades. Nominated for eleven Tony awards and winner of seven, including Best Musical, this highly entertaining Broadway musical based on the famous comic strip Little Orphan Annie, was adapted to the stage by Thomas Meehan (book), Charles Strouse (music), and Martin Charnin (lyrics).

Leapin' lizards! 'Annie' is coming to the Jersey Shore! Broadway's original Annie, Andrea McArdle, will grace the Axelrod stage as Miss Hannigan from November 2-18. This new production of 'Annie' is directed and choreographed by New Jersey native Al Blackstone, whose career started on Broadway in 'Wicked' and then moved to FOX's 'So You Think You Can Dance,' for which he received a 2018 Emmy Award nomination.

The students of the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education will present the first production of this year's Young Actors Series, ELF JR., in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on November 17 and 18, 2018. The Young Actors Series is sponsored by The Lufkin Family Foundation.

Welcome to the 60s - 1960s era Baltimore, to be exact, where hopes are high and hairstyles are even higher, as Reston Community Players opens its 52nd season with the beloved musical Hairspray. Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with an even bigger heart (and hair) is on a mission to follow her dreams and dance her way onto national television. Along the way, she finds true love, equality and the chance to be accepted for who she really is. Hairspray runs October 19-November 10, 2018 at Reston Community Center.

Barter Theatre officials announced today its 2019 season lineup during an exclusive event highlighting select excerpts from various upcoming productions. The event included the details of 16 diverse shows planned for 2019 with the theme of Love, Laughter, and Passion.

The Un-Common Theatre Company is excited to bring its Fall production of Annie to the Orpheum Theatre (Marylin Rodman Performing Arts Center) in Foxboro, November 16-18, 2018.  With a talented cast of 43 kids in grades 2-12, the actors come from 15 towns from North Attleboro, to Natick to Cambridge and towns in between.   

 NETworks Presentations, LLC, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Unique Features bring the Broadway musical ELF the Musical  to Mayo Performing Arts Center on Sunday, November 18 at 7 pm. Tickets are $59-$99. Limited tickets remain.

The Broadway community will celebrate the life of Thomas Meehan on Monday, November 5th at 2:00 PM at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street).
