SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young (www.say.org) (formerly Our Time) will be presenting four original One-Act Plays written and directed by teens who stutter, and performed by professional actors. The teens are part of the organization's innovative Confident Voices program, which helps kids who stutter find their voice.

The Public Theater presents The Fortress of Solitude, a world premiere musical with a book by Itamar Moses, and music and lyrics by Michael Friedman. A handful of celeb friends of 'Freestyle Love Supreme' turned out to support the celebrated musical improv troupe last night at Joe's Pub in New York City, as they unveiled the upcoming new 'Freestyle Love Supreme' television series, premiering this Friday, October 17 at 10:30pm ET/PT on Pivot. Guests included multi-platinum recording artist and musician Josh Groban, star of FX's 'You're the Worst' Desmin Borges, and 2014 Tony Award-winner James Monroe Inglehart.

On Friday, October 17, Pivot will debut two new half hour series during the 10 p.m. hour, Freestyle Love Supreme, a new comedic improv series inspired by the acclaimed stage show from Tony and Grammy award-winners, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Thomas Kail. And Welcome to Fairfax, a series that explores the vibrant and arts district of Los Angeles and the entrepreneurs who work and live on these blocks. The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) announces this season's Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography from more than 200 eligible productions in the 2013-2014 New York City theatre season. This year's awards will be presented to John Rando for his direction of The Heir Apparent, produced by Classic Stage Company, and Martha Clarke for her choreography of Cheri, produced by Signature Theatre.

The Public Theater announced a four-week extension for the world premiere musical HAMILTON, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Inspired by the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow and directed by Thomas Kail, HAMILTON begins performances on Tuesday, January 20 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, February 22. The musical will now run an additional four weeks to Sunday, March 22, with an official press opening on Tuesday, February 17.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) has announced the 2014-2015 Committee for the Joe A. Callaway Award, the only peer-given award for excellence in direction and choreography. The Committee, which will oversee the award for the theatre season, is Sue Lawless, William Martin, Barry McNabb, Leslie (Hoban) Blake, Linda Burson, Jonathan Cerullo, Edie Cowan, Clinton Turner Davis, John Going, Richard Hamburger, Bruce Heath, Michael Montel, DJ Salisbury, and Amy Saltz. Sue Lawless will serve as Committee Chair.

Carleigh Bettiol has recently stepped into the role of 'Young Ilene' in off-Broadway's Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story. The new musical is based on the life and songs of legendary songwriter Bert Berns, and is set to conclude its run this Sunday, September 14 after extending its initial run by two weeks. The Public will soon present the world premiere of Lin-Manuel Miranda's new play Hamilton from Jan 20 to Feb 22, 2015. It is based on the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow. Miranda will play Hamilton himself. According to an Equity casting notice, auditions are currently underway to fill several key roles, including Aaron Burr, George Washington and more. The character descriptions paint exciting pictures of Miranda's characters, including: Aaron Burr ('Javert meets Mos Def'), George Washington ('John Legend meets Mufasa'), Hercules Mulligan/James Madison ('RZA meets Zach from Chorus Line'), King George ('Wainwright meets King Herod in JCS'), and Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds (Jasmine Sullivan meets Carla from Nine).
