The Chain has announced free Zoom readings of WHITE KNUCKLE by Juan Ramirez, Jr. Thursday, March 18th at 7PM and Saturday, March 20th at 7PM.

THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director,  present the second show of the Road's 2019-2020 season, a newly revised and re-written production of NOWHERE ON THE BORDER, written by Carlos Lacámara and directed by Stewart J. Zully.

NOWHERE ON THE BORDER will preview on Tuesday, January 14; Wednesday, January 15 & Thursday, January 16 at 8pm; will open on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 8pm and run through Sunday, March 8 at the Road Theatre on Magnolia, located in The NoHo Senior Arts Colony, 10747 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood.

Performance is Monday, August 29, 2016, 7pm at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, 2055 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles

"The Blade of Jealousy," a play adapted by playwright Henry Ong from Tirso De Molina's "Jealous of Herself," will receive a staged reading at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble.  Melchor falls in love with a mysterious veiled lady in a cathedral, simply from a glimpse of her hand. When he meets Magadelena, he is less enamored, not realizing that Magadelena and the veiled lady are one and the same person. A madcap comedy of disguise and deception ensues.

This summer INDEPENDENT SHAKESPEARE CO. presents an imaginative production of Shakespeare's final play, THE TEMPEST, featuring Thom Rivera as Prospero and directed by Matthew Earnest.  THE TEMPEST will begin previews at THE GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL on Saturday, July 30 at 7pm and will open on Saturday, August 6 at 7:00pm and perform through Sunday, September 4 at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park.  All ISC Summer Shakespeare productions are FREE to the public!  THE TEMPEST is the second of two productions being presented at this year's GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL. RICHARD III played June 25 - July 24.

The bleak and barren world in A Noise Within's MACBETH is as much an outward visual of the inner state of Shakespeare's title character as it is the setting for the story itself. Moody, shrouded in shadows, and sparsely but strikingly accented, it has the look and feel of a timeless purgatory.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues its 2013-14 season with Macbeth by Shakespeare, to open today, March 15 and run through Sunday, May 11, 2014. The Shakespeare Theatre Company's annual Free For All is a much-loved Washington tradition, offering free Shakespeare performances to the general public for the past 22 years. This year the beloved tradition launches the Company's 2013-2014 Season by reviving Much Ado About Nothing, initially presented during the 2011-2012 Season with original direction by Ethan McSweeny. Much Ado About Nothing will run at STC's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from today, August 20-September 1, 2013. Resident Assistant Director Jenny Lord will direct this delightful summer comedy for residents and visitors to D.C.

Out of over 100 submissions, ten new plays will receive a staged reading at The Creek and Cave in Long Island City, NY. The Ladder series is scheduled to begin in July and continue into early October.
