The American Theatre Wing has extended the deadline to turn in applications for its 2009 SpringboardNYC Program, to be held on June 1 - 12, 2009 in New York City. Due to an overwhelming amount of interest, the American Theatre Wing will now accept applications through April 15.

The nominations announcement will be hosted by Tony Award winning actress Cynthia Nixon and Tony Award winning actor Lin-Manuel Miranda on May 5th at the New York Public Library for Performing Arts, Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center, Bruno Walter Auditorium, 111 Amsterdam Avenue (betw 64th & 65th Street).

Representatives from more than 50 New York theatres, including The New Group, New York Stage and Film, Signature Theatre Company and Roundabout Theatre Company will be present to meet with potential interns and discuss careers in the theatre. The fair will be held at The Westin Hotel in New York (270 W 43rd St. at 8th Ave).
