Tony Winner Julie White was announced today as host of the 23rd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards taking place Monday ,May 5th at the Union Square Theatre.

A cocktail reception to congratulate all of the nominees was held on April 21st at The Penthouse at American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street).

THE LEAGUE OF OFF-BROADWAY THEATRES AND PRODUCERS today announced the nominations for THE 23rd ANNUAL LUCILLE LORTEL AWARDS FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT OFF-BROADWAY, which will be presented on Monday, May 5th at the Union Square Theatre (100 East 17th Street).

The Playwrights Theater, sponsored by Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library's O'Neill at Yale project, will present The O'Neill Festival at 10, ten days of free readings, screenings and discussions as well as a musical revue to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the O'Neill. From January 4 - 13 this O'Neill celebration will take place at New York University's Provincetown Playhouse

The New York Times 2008 Arts & Leisure Week will take place January 7 to 13. The Times' annual signature event is now a seven-day international celebration of the arts that includes a wide range of activities, from interviews between journalists and their guests at TheTimesCenter in New York City, to special offers at cultural institutions around the world.

Theodore Mann, author of 'Journey's in the Night: Creating a New American Theatre with Circle in the Square,' will discuss his memoir and his years with Circle in the Square Theatre, on Saturday October 20 at 3PM at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center

On Monday, December 11th at Circle in the Square, a number of award-winning actors will perform scenes from Eugene O'Neill's masterpieces A Long Day's Journey Into Night and A Moon for the Misbegotten
