Exclusive: What Happens When the Great Teachers Are Gone?

It's a question that actress, writer, and filmmaker Helen Hayden has found herself asking recently. An alumna of Circle In the Square Theatre School (and Vice President on the Executive Board of its Alumni Association), she is sharing how she finds herself continuing to work as an actor while also carrying forward the Circle legacy. 

Legendary Producer Paul Libin Dies at 94

Paul Libin, a towering figure in the American theater whose near seven-decade career included producing more than 250 Broadway, Off Broadway and touring productions, leading Circle in the Square Theatre for 62 years, serving as Executive Vice President and Producing Director of Jujamcyn Theaters for 28 years, and presiding as President of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS for 24 years, died on June 27 in New York City after a brief illness. He was 94 years old.

TEENS ON BROADWAY Showcase Set for the Circle in the Square This Month

On Monday, May 18th at 7 p.m., performing arts high schools from four boroughs will present samples of their best work of the year at Circle in the Square Theatre. Book of Mormon cast member and Circle in the Square Theatre School alumnus Christian Dante White will welcome the performers and inspire them to keep their dream alive. This annual event is the centerpiece of Circle in the Square Theatre School's Teens on Broadway program.
