A combination of professional actors - including a local steelworker - and a community cast from Port Talbot will be performing in National Theatre Wales & Common Wealth's We're Still Here. This new production tackles one of the biggest symbols of Wales' industrial past and present; the Port Talbot steelworks.
The Arctic Group has commissioned playwright Daniel Talbott (Slipping and Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, America, Kuwait) to write a new short play that will be performed on a double bill with Steve McMahon's Sad Indie Love Song in Series B of their inaugural FRIDGE Festival. HBO announced the 11 writers selected, out of 3,600 submissions, to participate in the 2017 HBOAccess Writing Fellowship, which will run from July through February. The fellowship begins with a series of master classes from July 17-21 in their Santa Monica offices after which each writer or team will be paired with an HBO or Cinemax executive mentor.
