It's Shakespeare like you've never seen…technically, heard…it performed before as Birmingham Village Players (BVP) member Marcus Laban of Warren spins the tale of The Two Gentlemen of Verona into an audio drama created in the heyday of radio.

Riverside Studios today announces further programming for its inaugural Christmas season in association with New Frame Productions, including an evening of unplugged performance with West End Acoustic featuring SIX's Maiya Quansah-Breed and Renée Lamb, Wicked's Nicholas McLean, Jesus Christ Superstar's Tyrone Huntley and Dear Evan Hansen's Oliver Award-winning Sam Tutty.

Today (30 October 2020) the Bridge Theatre has announced a season of cabaret and burlesque acts - The Bridge After Dark - that will join the previously announced repertoire from December 2020.

Lockwood Henderson Productions will present the first London revival of 'Constellations' by Nick Payne at Southwark Playhouse, directed by Jonathan O'Boyle, and starring Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo and Oliver Johnstone. The play will run Thursday 26 November - Saturday 19 December, 2020.

And they (yes, they - if we need to have one genderqueer character on the theatre scene, it definitely needs to be Lucifer) are inviting you to their hellish royal wedding reception. Dante’s In-Furlough makes for an irreverent, naughty, boisterous, and appetisingly foul-mouthed adventure. A soul-binding contract, an uncooperative fiancée, and plenty of infernal fun await the guests at The Vaults.

Hurrah for the green shoots in our beleaguered industry. Lots of venues are mounting new shows and bringing back our favourites over the next few weeks and months - albeit with social distancing and safety measures in place. Here are some of the live theatrical goodies on offer.

Since early March, Toronto's theatre scene has been upended due to social distancing rules in place because of the pandemic. For many companies, this meant putting shows, concerts, and seasons on hold, but for Naomi Campbell, the Artistic Director of Toronto's Luminato Festival, it meant having to reimagine what the festival could look like in such strange times.
