Photo Coverage: Inside Opening Night of 3-D Theatricals' ONCE

3-D Theatricals launches its 2019-2020 season with ONCE, The Musical, winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards including Best Musical. The production, directed by Kari Hayter and choreographed by Linda Love Simmons with musical direction and conducting by David Lamoureux, will play October 11-27 at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (18000 Park Plaza Drive, Cerritos, CA).

BWW Interview: Nick Hardcastle On Bringing the Life of Orry-Kelly To The Thea-ta

A limited 'sneak peek' run of Gentleman-George Production's ORRY will begin November 1, 2019 at The Lee Strasberg Theatre. Writer/performer Nick Hardcastle has adapted Oscar-winning costume designer Orry-Kelly's memoirs Women I've Dressed for a ninety-minute stage production (directed by Wayne Harrison) incorporating music, dance, vaudeville, puppetry, special effects and some of Orry-Kelly's award--winning creations. I had the chance to ask a few questions of Nick, in between his many, many responsibilities - theatrical and otherwise.

BREAKING: Martin Scorsese's Film THE IRISHMAN Will Screen at Broadway's Belasco Theatre

Broadway's Belasco Theatre will soon be home to an all new type of presentation. Netflix has announced Martin Scorsese's The Irishman will have a unique and historic theatrical run at the Belasco. The Irishman, starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci, will screen at the famed theater from November 1 - December 1.

CATS Will Play Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre

One of the biggest hits in theatrical history, CATS will come to Baltimore from January 21 to January 26 as part of a multi-season North American tour. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on October 4.

Charles Flateman Announced as Chairman of the Board of NYC & Company

NYC & Company Chairman of the Board of Directors Emily K. Rafferty has announced her decision to step down from her chairmanship in February 2020. When Rafferty leaves her post next year, she will have served as Board Chairman of the organization for nearly 12 years and presided over a tourism industry that has enjoyed 10 consecutive years of growth. In accordance with NYC & Company's bylaws, the organization's Executive Committee today voted to elect longstanding Vice Chairman Charles Flateman, Executive Vice President of the Shubert Organization, to fill the remaining portion of Emily Rafferty's term, through February 2021.

THE BAND'S VISIT at DPAC On Sale October 10

DPAC has announced that THE BAND'S VISIT, one of the most Tony Award-winning musicals in history, will be coming to the Triangle from April 7 to April 12, 2020, as part of SunTrust Broadway's 2019 / 2020 Season. The tour of the critically acclaimed and 10-time Tony Award-winning production launched at the Providence Performing Arts Center on June 25, 2019 and continued on to play Washington, DC. LEONARD SOLOWAY'S BROADWAY to Premiere in NYC Nov. 4-7

Leonard Soloway's Broadway, a new documentary produced and directed by Jeff Wolk (After Louie; Last Glimmer of Day) will premiere at The Landmark at 57th Street (657 W. 57th Street) in New York City from November 4-7 and will be distributed digitally by 1091 to various platforms beginning on November 12. The film will also screen at several film festivals around the country prior to its digital distribution.

BC/EFA's Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction Raises $870,167

From theatrical treasures to selfies with stars, from exclusive auction experiences to coveted signed show posters and Playbills, there was something special for every Broadway fan at the 33rd annual edition of the Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction on September 22, 2019. The biggest day for Broadway fans, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS, raised $870,167.

The award, given by TriTix Chair, Kelly Brennan, was inspired by Vince's dedication and commitment to the ticketing industry and to reviving the TriTix organization over three years ago. Brennan said, 'Vince has played a pivotal role in ticketing for over 40 years, and his commitment to building a community within this industry has enhanced the careers of so many in NYC and across the country. We are honored to honor him in this way and to honor future impact-makers in his namesake for years to come.'
