The award-winning York Theatre Company (James Morgan- Producing Artistic Director) announced today that West End and Broadway actor Peter Land, recently seen in their Mufti production of Oh, Coward! returns for three Sunday nights in February with his new solo show, Now or Never, an explosion of music and words. Directed by Gillian Lynne, Now or Never will play at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's on 54th St, just east of Lexington Avenue, on February 12, 19, and 26 at 7:30 p.m.

Neil MacGregor, Director, British Museum; Michael Boyd, Artistic Director, Royal Shakespeare Company; Dominic Dromgoole, Artistic Director, Shakespeare's Globe; Ruth Mackenzie, Director of the Cultural Olympiad and London 2012 Festival; Deborah Shaw, World Shakespeare Festival Director and arts leaders from across the UK and the world joined together at the British Museum today to announce the programme for the World Shakespeare Festival and BP's sponsorship as Founding Presenting Partner.

The programme for September includes a variety of things to see and do during the weekends at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre (RST), beginning with ‘Theatremakers with Hammers' on Saturday 3rd September.

This July and August, Lincoln Center Festival and Park Avenue Armory, in association with The Ohio State University, will bring the acclaimed Royal Shakespeare Company to New York for an unprecedented six-week residency. For the first time in its history of visiting the United States, the RSC will perform five of Shakespeare's plays-As You Like It, Julius Caesar, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, and The Winter's Tale-in repertory for 44 performances with a cast whose members will have worked together for three intense years with RSC Artistic Director Michael Boyd by the time they arrive in New York.

KT Tunstall makes her Royal Shakespeare Theatre debut with her solo show on Sunday 19 June. It is part of a season of concerts in Stratford-upon-Avon called Live at the RSC.

Stage and screen star Helen Mirren has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller 'Red', Variety reports. Already announced for the cast are Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis. Produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Gregory Noveck, and Mark Vahradian, 'Red' is written by Erich and Joe Hoeber and directed by Robert Schwentke. Shooting is set to begin January 2010 with an expected release date of November 19th, 2010.

Chris Cantelmi, last seen as The Jogger in Tanya Saracho's Our Lady of the Underpass, has stepped in to the role of Barry in 16th Street Theater's production of Brett Neveu?s The Last Barbecue directed by Artistic Director Ann Filmer. The Last Barbecue is running now thru August 8, 2009 at the Berwyn Cultural Center.
