On the heels of its groundbreaking Public Works Seattle production of The Odyssey, Seattle Repertory Theatre prepares for the opening of its west coast premiere production of Pride and Prejudice, a playful adaptation of the Jane Austen classic by inventive playwright, Kate Hamill (Bedlam's Sense & Sensibility). Pride and Prejudice will run on the Bagley Wright Theatre stage September 29 through October 29, 2017 (opening night October 4) and tickets are on sale now through the Seattle Rep Box Office at 206.443.2222 or online at SeattleRep.org.

KareHouse, a new musical written by Michael Kimmel (Songbird, The Last Goodbye) with music and lyrics by Libby Winters (American Idiot), directed by Jenny Koons (Burn All Night), and produced by John Gallagher Jr., Allison Bressi, and Lianne Kennedy, will be presented in a New York Premiere at Joe's Pub, for two performances only, September 25-26, 2017.

A dynamic duo, internationally acclaimed jazz artist Alexis Cole and Obie award-winning playwright Susan Miller (My Left Breast), are two of the headliners set to grace the stage today, September 16, at Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT)'s 'Watch the Stars Come Out,' the theater group's most 'starstruck' annual fundraiser to date. The blockbuster event will feature a performance by Cole, one of Ossining's own, and remarks by Miller on her commitment to support WCT's unique mission to develop new, innovative work for the theater plus candid, insider insights on the state of theater in today's reframed market. Cole will be accompanied by Emmy nominated composer/producer and arranger Kinny Landrum of Sleepy Hollow on keyboard for the entertainment segment of the evening.

Today, 15 September 2017, Stage Entertainment are pleased to confirm that TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner, will open at the Aldwych Theatre in April 2018. Performances will begin on 21 March 2018 with press night on 17 April 2018. TINA is initially booking to 16 June 2018.

Crowded Fire Theater (CFT) announces the featured playwrights and plays for the 2017 Matchbox Readings Series, an annual program presenting four public staged readings of plays in development.
