HERE proudly announces its 2017-2018 producing season, marking the 25th Anniversary of this award-winning, boundary-stretching institution.  The 2017-2018 HERE lineup features three HERE Resident Artist world premieres; the world premiere of a HERE Artistic Director production by Kristin Marting; innovative works from the Dream Music Puppetry Program including a revival of Symphonie Fantastique by Basil Twist, internationally acclaimed artist and Artistic Director of HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program; the sixth annual PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/Now festival, and HERE's yearly CULTUREMART festival, where HERE serves up a first look at new work in process from artists in the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP).  The multidisciplinary productions in HERE's milestone 2017-2018 season represent the culmination of commissions and developmental residencies of up to three years in the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP) and/or the Dream Music Puppetry Program.  

Asking any actor about their 'dream roles' is a pretty easy conversation starter. But that conversation is different and loaded for actors who aren't white/cis/non-disabled.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Katie Thompson in New Writers at 54: The Creations of Katie Thompson on Sunday, August 13 at 7:00 PM. Katie Thompson (Giant, Big Fish) brings her talented Broadway friends to Feinstein's/54 Below to debut original songs from this songwriter's many projects in the making. The concert will also feature selections from her new musical one act "Sleeping in the Ground" which recently had its first developmental lab directed by Andy Sandberg, and choreographed by Shea Sullivan. www.katiethompson.com

Producer Lida Orzeck and Executive Producer Eva Price are pleased to announce the New York premiere of the new play, 20TH CENTURY BLUES, from Susan Smith Blackburn Prize-winner and two-time OBIE Award-winning playwright Susan Miller (My Left Breast). Two-time OBIE Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Emily Mann (Having Our Say, Anna in the Tropics) will direct the 10-week limited engagement beginning November 12 with performances through January 28 and an official opening night set for November 26. 20TH CENTURY BLUES will play at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street).

Mark Cortale, Producing Artistic Director of The Art House in Provincetown has announced that Beth Malone, Broadway star of Ring of Fire and Tony nominee for 2016's smash hit Fun Home, will make her Broadway @ The Art House series debut on August 20 at 7:00 PM for one show only, with Susan Draus at the piano. Today, producers Ken Davenport and Hunter Arnold announced that Tony Award nominee Phillip Boykin, Alysha Deslorieux, Kenita R. Miller, and Isaac Powell are joining the new Broadway production of Once On This Island, which will play the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 W. 50th street, NYC) this fall.

Four cast members from August Wilson's Jitney (the 2017 Tony Winner for Best Revival of a Play) will perform select readings from the show, followed by a Q&A with the audience, at Queens Library on Monday, August 7, at 6:30 p.m.

The Public Theatre's professional theatre training program for teens will perform How to Act like a Child: Lessons in NOT Being a Grown-up, a compilation of hip and entertaining stories inspired by children's book author Shel Silverstein and others on Friday, July 28th at 6pm. 

The Hollywood Bowl's production of Mamma Mia! begins tonight, July 28, at 8 PM and continues Saturday, July 29, at 8 PM and Sunday, July 30, at 7:30 PM.

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's production of Ken Ludwig's The Three Musketeers previews July 12 and 13, opens July 14, and continues through August 6 in repertory with Shakespeare's As You Like It at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of DeSales University.

Final casting has been announced for the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Mamma Mia!, Friday, July 28, at 8 PM, Saturday, July 29, at 8 PM and Sunday, July 30, at 7:30 PM. The new cast members are Tisha Campbell-Martin as Tanya, Hamish Linklater as Harry and Steven Weber as Bill.

MCC Theater today announced the complete cast and creative team for the first show of its upcoming 2017-18 season: the NYC premiere of the acclaimed transgender-themed play Charm-inspired by the real-life story of Miss Gloria Allen.

He knows him, that's his dad! Iain Armitage, also known as Iain Loves Theatre, sang a rendition of 'I Know Him' from Hamilton announcing that his dad, Euan Morton will be joining the Broadway cast later this month as the next King George III.
