Matt Cavenaugh and Elena Shaddow will star in the concert 'A Broadway Romance,' with Symphoria Orchestra in Sryacuse NY - Friday, February 6, 2015 - 7:30 PM at the Crouse-Hinds Concert Theater. Sean O'Loughlin is conducting. The concert is a finely tuned gathering of songs from the Broadway repertoire, including 'Tonight', 'Somebody, Somewhere', 'I Am Loved', and, of course, 'Lullaby of Broadway' among many others.

The Old Globe welcomes Tony and Emmy Award winner Hal Linden ('Barney Miller,' The Rothschilds) to star in the West Coast Premiere of The Twenty-seventh Man by award-winning novelist Nathan Englander, directed by Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein. The cast also features Ron Orbach, Robert Dorfman, Eli Gelb, James Shanklin, andLowell Byers. The Twenty-seventh Man will run February 14 through March 15 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the cast below!

ELEMENO PEA to Play Theatre School at DePaul University Next Month

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present Elemeno Pea by Molly Smith Metzler in the Sondra and Denis Healy Theatre, located in The Theatre School building at Racine and Fullerton. The production is directed by Brian Balcom, MFA Directing candidate, Class of 2016. Opening Night is Friday, February 13, and the production will run through Sunday February 22, 2015.

The Old Globe today announced it will open its 2015-2016 Season with In Your Arms, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). Co-conceived by Gattelli and Jennifer Manocherian, In Your Arms features 10 dance vignettes written by an incredible and diverse lineup of theatre powerhouses, including Douglas Carter Beane, Nilo Cruz, Christopher Durang, Carrie Fisher, David Henry Hwang, Rajiv Joseph, Terrence McNally, Marsha Norman, Lynn Nottage, and Alfred Uhry. Among them, the creators have amassed 14 Tony Awards, five Pulitzer Prizes, six Pulitzer finalist designations, and one Academy Award.

It was announced today that two-time Olivier Award nominee Scarlett Strallen will take over the role of 'Sibella' in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical, beginning Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Her predecessor Lisa O'Hare exits the production on February 8, 2015 after originating the role at Hartford Stage, then in San Diego at The Old Globe, and finally on Broadway at The Walter Kerr Theatre.

Lincoln Center Education to Host 'Next Stage' Event on Theater and Autism, 2/19

Lincoln Center Education, the education cornerstone of Lincoln Center and a global leader in arts education and advocacy, announces the first event of the 2015 Next Stage series, a discussion series launched last year with high-profile artists exploring the role of arts education in their creative and commercial work. The first event, taking place February 19 at Lincoln Center's Clark Studio Theater, will focus on artists involved in the creation of works for the specific audience of people on the autism spectrum. The panel of directors will discuss the pathways and opportunities to creating performances for this audience, whether it be in the form of an adapted or modified work, or a wholly original work.

THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX will preview on Wednesday, February 11; Thursday, February 12; and Friday, February 13 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, February 14 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, March 15.
